A/N: I know these last few chapters have been kind of crappy but... The end is actually closer than it seems and I know exactly how it will go!

I think I will make a ten years later chapter as well but... I just want to say it will be worth it.

Once I finish the book I will try to go thru all the chapters and correct the mistakes or I will change a few things.

Enjoy!

Maria's POV:

I finally got out of the hospital after three and a half weeks of being there. I was a little bit out of shape so I had a little training in the past two days.

Marcus, Kelsey, Lucas, Antonio and I made a plan that today we will present to the team that they chose were the best for this mission.

The plan was to go to Spain and sneak in. We will have Tim who will track everything and this time we have a few people from the inside working for us as well.

It was time for my father to say goodbye and I wasn't even a little bit sorry.

We got over the plan a thousands of times first between the five of us and then it was time to tell the others.

We came at the warehouse that all of the other members who will participate in this are. I was worried that my speech wasn't going to be excepted but I knew I had to do this!
For the sake of Matteo.

Kelsey approached me and nudged me: "Hey, it's going to be fine. Marcus already gave them a hint to why they're here. Don't worry, they love Matteo like he's their blood. They will listen to you and help." She said, encouraging me to go in with them and speak.

I looked at her smiling face and I nodded.

I went in first, the two guards at the door opening the doors for us and letting us in the big space.

As soon as my foot was in I could already see more than forty faces.

They all looked anxious but somehow composed.

I stopped in front of them, along with the four of others who were behind me.

I took a deep breath and started talking: "Thank you all for having the courage to show. As you all know Matteo Konovalov, your boss was captured at the merciless arms of our enemy Ivan Kalem." I started and it felt weird saying my father's name like that but I didn't feel sorry.

"He is planned to be killed three days from now. As I know you respect him and honor him and want him back... It is our duty to take care of that and get on the mission to get him back. We already have a plan and today and 9 pm we will be at our flight to Spain in order to save him." I finished and looked at all their faces.

Some were worried, some where mad and some sad.

The hands started going up, telling me there's questions.

The first man spoke his doubts immediately: "How do we know that the boss is still alive? We don't want to die for nothing." The men asked.

I got pissed at that sentence. Of course he's not dead.

I took a deep breath: "We have reliable sources who told us he is planned to be kill in three days. He is still alive!" I said, my voice strong.

"And who are you? Why would we listen to you?" The woman from the crowd asked.

She had every right to have doubts about me... They didn't know me. Why would they trust me?

That's why I always admired Matteo for his authority and trusts between his Mafia members and him.

Marcus behind me responded quickly: "Because we know that she will do anything to save Matteo. And Matteo has complete trust in her. She's his girlfriend. Karla Kalem." He finished.

As he said my name the crowd was silent. No words were spoken for a few minutes.

"How do we know that you're not on your father's side?" Another voice asked and all the others started supporting it.

I rolled my eyes and at one point, when the noise and arguing got too much I yelled: "Enough!"

Everything was silent again.

"If we want this to work there shouldn't be fights, doubts or accusing. And I know it's hard to trust me! Especially because of who I am. But I... I love Matteo more than anyone and the thought of losing him means death for me too. So... Don't do this for me. Do this for Matteo because of what he meant to you as individuals. I know that he saved all of you from some kind of misfortune. Now you're his family. Family sticks together thru thick and thin." I finished and was looking at each and every one of them slowly, observing their reaction.

I couldn't believe I just admitted to strangers that I love him but I was too much of a coward to admit it to him.

Matteo always liked to talk about his Mafia and members of his Mafia. He called them family and talked about a few of them and that he found most of them at the verge of death, poorness or something similar. He brought these people back to life and they helped him too... In various ways.

They all nodded their heads in approval and I started to tell them the plan along with Marcus who helped me put everyone with their skills at the right place.

As we were over I just thought to myself this has to work.

And I knew that I couldn't think badly but it was a big change that it actually could end very badly and deadly.

All of the people involved including me knew that. I was ready for that risk. I knew that dying for the the person that I loved was worth it.

He was my savior from day one of meeting him. He came to my life and made it better in so many ways.

I prayed that he was safe and alive. I knew he probably went thru a lot these past few weeks but Tim said that he was kept alive for now.

I had hope... Hope that everything will be OK and that Matteo will come home with me and I could tell him all the things that I didn't...
