Maria's POV:

I just lended in Croatia, Zagreb the capital of Croatia.

No signs of Matteo, he probably doesn't even know yet.

I called Tim to let him know that I'm here and I'm going first in my hotel room and then I plan to meet up with him.

I went in the hotel with four stars because that one is the first one I saw.

The girl on the reception was very rude and didn't want to give me a room because they were "packed" so I showed her my pretty gun.

"Isn't it pretty, it killed many people." I said while smiling to her.

I wasn't in the mood for fighting with her because I was tired!

She quickly gave me a room key on the fourth floor and I thanked her like the lady that I am.

I put down my backpack and laid on the comfortable bed. The room was OK, I won't be in it for long so it didn't really matter. After a few hours Tim and I decided to meet at the cafe near my hotel.

I quickly washed my face and put some lipgloss and I was ready to go.

I got to the cafe before him so I ordered a coffee and started looking thru my phone.

All of a sudden I hear: "O! Moj! Bože! Ne mogu vjerovati da si stvarno došla!" (Oh! My! God! I can't believe you really came!)

I turned around and saw Tim. He was a red head with cute freckles and glasses. He is a Croat but he changed his name because of business. He was pretty tall and skinny. And he was a master when it came to computers and informatics.

I got up and hugged him.

"Tim! Nismo se dugo vidjeli!" I said while smiling. (Hey Tim. Long time no see.)

"Falila si jako! Ovi zadnji mjeseci su bili čisti pakao bez tebe. Tvoj tata je još luđi. Kažem ti, ovo sve propada." He said while shaking his head. (I missed you so much! This last months were hell without you. Your dad is even more crazy and reckless. I'm telling you this business is going to hell.)

I chuckled: "Pa... Možes uvijek raditi za mene. Treba mi neko pametan ko ti." I said and took a sip of my coffee.  (Well... You can always work for me. I need a smart one like you.)

He said and ordered a whiskey.  (Girl, you can't afford me even if you wanted to. Everyone would be lucky to have someone like me.)"

Yes, Tim was very confident, if you didn't notice.

"Viski? Ovako rano?" I asked while looking at my watch. It was eleven am. (Whiskey? This early?)

"Nemoj suditi. Na rubu ludila sam od svog posla. Pratimo tvoje korake otkako te nema. Umoran sam od toliko posla." He said, rubbing his eyes.  (Don't judge. I'm on edge from all the working. We were tracing you since you were gone. I'm tired of all the work.)

I could really see he was exhausted. His hair was messy and his eyes were bloodshot tired.

"Kad si zadnji put spavao?" I asked, concerned about my best friend's health. (When was the last time you slept?)

"Ne brini se za mene, zlato. Kako si ti? Što si radila u ovih 4 mjeseca?" He asked, grinning. (Don't worry about me, darling. How are you? What were you up to in this four months?)

I rolled my eyes: "Bolje da ne znaš."
(It's better if you don't know)

He said while laughing. (Like I don't know about Matteo Konovalov and your work with him. You lived with him in the same house!)

My eyes widened; "Koliko vi toga znate o meni?" (How much do you know about me?)

He rolled his eyes: "Nisam te cinko, ako na to misliš. Oni ne znaju puno osim da si imala par susreta sa Matteom. Ali ja? Ja znam sve."
(I didn't snitch on you, if that's what you mean. They don't know much except you had a few brief encounters with Matteo. But me however? I know everything.)

I shook my head: "Nećemo o tome. Duga je priča a ja sam tu došla da pričamo poslovno!" I said sternly.
(We're not going into that. It's a long story and I came here to talk business with you!)

He nodded.

"Pogledala sam što si mi poslao o mafiji i razumijem kako radi sistem. Ja samo trebam ući u njegovu radnu sobu bez da me itko vidi ili zna. O! I želim ubiti par njegovih zaposlenika, tek toliko." I smiled.
(I looked over what you sent me about your mafia and I understand how the system works. I just need to go into his business room without anyone knowing or seeing me. O! And I want to kill some of his men, just for fun.)

Tim grinned: "Lagano!"
(Easy!)

And then we talked about plans and everything I need to have and know.

Can't wait to finally get that bastard by surprise!
