Maria's POV:
The first thing I felt was pain. A lot of pain. I knew I was in and out of consciousness and I barely knew what happened or what was the reality and what an imagination.
I tried opening my eyes and it was very bright. I fluttered my eyes a little and I could hear steps coming towards me.
"Maria! Maria do you hear me?" Someone asked and I could faintly see their silhouette.
I reached up with my arm and the person grabbed it gently and gave it a squeeze.
"If you can hear me and understand me, squeeze my hand." The familiar voice said.
I squeezed their hand and they sighed.
"We're going to be at the hospital in less than an hour. Everything will be fine." The person said, reassuring me.
I couldn't remember why I needed to go to the hospital.
Something happened to me...
But what?
I had missions and I was in the club and... Oh my God! I saw Matteo! He was with my father and he was... Where is he?
"Where is he?" I managed to say out loud and I could see more clearly.
I could tell I was in some sort of room with a small bed.
"Where is who?" He asked.
I looked up at him and saw that it was... Marcus?
"Marcus is that you?" I asked.
"Yes! Do you know what happened?" He asked me while sitting down, beside me still holding my hand.
I shook my head.
"But where is Matteo?" I asked looking around frantically.
"He's... Not here." He answered shortly.
"Why?" I asked as my pulse quickened.
"Go to sleep." He said and started going towards the door but I pulled him back with as much strength as I could muster.
He stopped walking and turned around: "Maria, you'll know everything later." He said.
"Jus tell me! Did something happen to him? Just tell me! Marcus!" I started yelling and hyperventilating.
He grabbed something from beside me and I felt a needle going in my arm before I passed out.
When I woke up the next time, the first thing I could see was an oxygen mask on my nose and mouth. I was hearing an annoying and constant beeping of the machine that I was hooked on. I didn't feel much pain but that was probably from the pain killers I could see were hooked onto the IV.
I tried sitting up but I couldn't.
Then the nurse in colorful scrubs came in. She seemed young.
As soon as she saw me she gasped a little: "Oh you're finally awake! I'm going to notify the doctor. He'll be with you within five minutes, try to not close your eyes.
The room was quickly filled with more nurses who got out, following the orders.
The nurse that first came in sat beside me.
"Can you hear me?" She asked, loud and clear.
"Yes." I said, but it was barely audible because of the mask.
"Do you know for how long you've been in a coma?" She asked, writing something on her chart.
"Um... I was in a coma?" I asked while trying to remember the details of want happened but I barely knew my name and last name.
