Matteo's POV:
The night passed pretty quickly. We needed to have some kind of plan. We can't be reckless and just barge in there like there aren't a hundredth or more men there.
I knew one thing for sure, though. I will finally kill Ivan Kalem for good.
He caused way too many damages. I ignored it and let him live but he fucked with me now and it's over.
A hundredth of my men came with two planes to Spain. I needed backup quickly. Some of my best people came and I was sure we're going to crush him alive.
It was now 6 pm and we decided that around 8 we're going to go towards his hiding place.
He is basically hiding in some basement kind of room... Just like a little rat that he is.
I took two guns with me, stuffing them in my waistband. I also brought bullets and I had a few knifes with me, just in case.
We had a some kind of plan. Marcus, Lucas, Tom, Matt, Martin and I are going to go in there. The rest of my men are going to be around, waiting for my signal to blow everything up. We're first going out safely with Maria and then we're going to blow everything up, including them of course.
We drove half an hour to get there and finally we found the spot. It was a clever one. No one would notice it if they didn't really look for it.
We got in pretty easily, their security wasn't the best and we quickly killed around 10 of them. As we opened another room I could see it was something like a torture room.
There were a few cells with chains and bars so that the victims can't get out.
There was a significant amount of blood and I could tell it was fresh.
I didn't have a good feeling about this already.
As I got in deeper along with my guys behind me I looked into every cell, trying to find someone or something as a clue.
Then I stopped in front of the 7th one.
It was all dark inside and I wanted to move on to the other one but I could hear a faint breathing.
I picked the lock and got in fairly quickly.
When I got closer to the person laying there I could see that it was actually... Maria.
She looked like she wasn't alive.
I got to my knees in front of her and I listened to her pulse. Even if I could hear her breathing, I needed to know if her heart was beating normally.
It barely was.
I sighed and I could tell that the rest of my men were watching me, all in complete silence.
I removed her black hair from her face and then I could really tell how much she was beaten. It was merciless.
I couldn't believe that this happened to her and that it was my fault.
Maybe I could've prevented it.I examined her body. Seeing bruises and fresh scars along with open wounds.
She really was barely kept alive. Her lips were dry, I could tell she probably didn't drink in maybe a day? Maybe more?
Her eyes were swollen along with her cheeks. A tear escaped my eyes, seeing her like this.
I lifted her up, slowly and got out of the cell.
When the others saw her in the light they all gasped not knowing it was that serious.
"What happened to her?" Marcus asked with his eyes wide open, staring at her broken state.
