The realization struck us really hard. This game has a time limit. We were only given a 20-minute game and that, indeed, was a very long time. We did not even notice at all.

He silently cursed and immediately let go of me. His face was unreadable, blank to be exact. I knew at that very moment what was running inside his mind because I, too was thinking the exact, same thing. In a normal circumstance, there would never be a situation like this that has always been repeated, me and he always being tied at all costs. Coincidence is not the exact word that can be used for this. I don't even know what is. A million times had I received questions asking me how and my answer was and will always be a big question mark, as well.

Everyone around me has the same expression I've been getting for as many times as I can remember-frustration. Well, I can't blame them because that would be my reaction, too if I am witnessing the same events.

Nakalapit na ako sa aking mga kaibigan na nakaupo sa bench at puro malalalim na titig lang ang ibinigay nila sa akin. I gave them a tired-looking stare. Who will not be exhausted after a very long and tremendous day? We almost killed each other just for a single position that will not last long. On the other hand, that's one of the many ways I am talking about so we could know each other better. Just in a different and twisted way. Well, I think it worked because even in just a short period of time that we've all been together, we already knew the moves of each other.

"As always.", pahayag ni Althea sabay abot sa akin ng tubig at tuwalya.

"C'mon, let's go inside and treat your wounds. You also need to eat.", aya sa akin ni Bea. Tumango lang ako sa kaniya at sumunod naman ang iba sa amin sa likod.

It's like nothing happened for the past few minutes because they act natural and as if they don't know about the result. But, the truth is, they know and they just don't have the energy to react or get confused. It always happens. They got used to it. So was I.

"What are we gonna do next?", tanong ni Monique.

"Let's go home and take a rest. That's the best thing we can do for now.", sabi ni Johanna.

Nag-lalakad na kami papunta sa sasakyan namin ng biglang may tumawag sa amin kaya naman napahinto kami.

"You can't go out.", si Denisse pala.

"Why?", tanong ni Mark sa kaniya.

"Everyone is ordered not to go out of this building because something happened.", sagot niya.

"What happened?", tanong ni James.

"The Knight Organization kidnapped Melissa just this afternoon when she went out to get some of her things here and the next thing we knew, she was shouting because some men in black were dragging her inside the van. The people that were here that time tried to stop the van but they weren't able to. They immediately informed our masters and Sir Max. They tried to track the van by using the plate number the people who saw the incident had given them but when they were able to, the van was abandoned on the road near the forest. They ordered some of our men to go there and when they reached the place where the van was, they didn't see anyone or anything except for several drops of blood on the seats at the back. They tested the blood in the laboratory and it wasn't Melissa's.", mahaba niyang eksplanasyon.

"Then whose blood was that?", tanong sa kaniya ni Alexander.

"As of now, we don't know to whom that blood belongs.", sagot niya ulit.

"Then, what are we waiting for? Let's go inside.", sabi ni Brandon sa amin at agad na nag-lakad pabalik ng pinanggalingan namin kanina.

We entered the building again and we saw a lot of people everywhere, doing everything just to freshen their moods up.
