Chapter 11: Extinction Event

SMG4, Tari, and Meggy shove their way out of the old house, shoving Mario out at the same time. He lands on the dirt ground, sending plumes around him as he scrambled to his feet, the wild look still there, and his voice still an inhuman growl.

Mario: You cannot stop me! I am your eternal grave! I will not let you get away with this!

SMG4 loaded the salt pellet shell into the shotgun and aims it at Mario.

SMG4: Maybe we can't stop you, but this can.

He pulls the trigger and Meggy lets out a scream as the shotgun let out its loud explosion and she watches Mario fly backwards about ten feet before hitting the ground again.

Meggy: RED!! *turning* SMG4! What the hell did you do!?

SMG4: *lowering shotgun* Oh...Did I forget to mention that this was a salt shot?

Meggy + Tari: Yes!

Tari ran up to Mario and grabbed the now damaged wooden box and ran with it until she was closer to the Forerunner. Mario got up, still having his growl in his voice.

Mario: Give it back, you insignificant creature!

Meggy: When we get you snapped out of it, Mario, I am going to have a serious talk with you!

He turns to face Meggy.

Mario: No. I'm the one who's gonna have a serious talk about the stupid marriage you made with me.

Meggy: *to self* It's not Mario speaking. Don't let it get to you, Meggy. Plus, this thing doesn't even know how to speak like  a normal person. *speaking* I'd like to see you try, because I will win the argument.

Mario: Watch me win then. I'll shatter your life like when you and him broke up eight years ago!

Meggy: Leave his memories alone! They're his and his only! Not yours!

Tari: Hey! Freak!

Mario turns slowly from Meggy to see Tari at the wheel of the Forerunner. It didn't seem to faze him until he saw that the wooden box was directly in front of the right tire of it. His eyes went wide and he yelled out for her to stop.

Mario: N-No! Y-You can't do that!

Tari: Watch me!

She puts the vehicle into drive and slams the pedal to the floor. The Forerunner jerks forward and just about crushes the wooden box until she feels like the front end of the vehicle was being lifted off the ground.

Tari: What the!? How!?

SMG4 watched as Mario had grabbed the Forerunner by the front bumper guard and lifted it off the ground just enough to not crush the fragile wood. He sneered as he started to actually push the Forerunner backwards and Tari was starting to really freak out when she saw Meggy coming around the vehicle with a metal pole and whacks Mario across the head with it, making him drop the Forerunner, crushing the box instantly, pieces of wood shooting in all directions. Tari jumped out of the Forerunner, partially in shock that Meggy just hit him, but also floored that Mario lifted the front end of the heavy Forerunner.

Tari: Woah.

Meggy: I know, right?

Tari: I can't believe you just slapped your husband with a metal rod.

Meggy: I could've done worse you know.

Tari: I bet you never would've had the courage to do it though.

Meggy: ...You may be right.

SMG4: We both know it's right, because you'd freak out if you were in a situation where he would surely die. Oh, and by the way, Tari, I told you that someone would hit him with a metal pole.
