Chapter 17: Escape From The Multiverse

E. Gadd: Landing in 3...

Quantum-7: Landing Thrusters initiated.

E. Gadd: 2...

Quantum: Lowering positioning arms.

E. Gadd: 1...

He felt the massive ship touch down gently into the soil where they once stood only a day ago. E. Gadd then left his spot and guided a large group to the front of the ship where they would go into battle against Alphacore.

Mario: I'm ready for this! This is going to be epic!

Saiko: Hell yeah! I'm going to spill so much blood today!

Meggy: I'm excited and all, but how are we going to do this without any weapons to fight?

E. Gadd: I'm very glad you asked, Meggy...Come with me...all of you.

He started leading the group towards a section of the ship not many have walked before. It had neon blue lights with pearl white walls and a soft navy blue floor. Desti, Peach and the Killer Ink team also decided to join in on the battle.

Desti: Why exactly do we need to do this, Meggy? Don't we want to just get to where we want to go?

Meggy: Yes, we do, but sometimes, it looks like there needs to be some blockers in the way that need a little...pressure, if you know what I mean.

Desti: I think I understand.

Leader: Where even is this Alphacore guy anyways?

Meggy: We don't know exactly.

Leader scoffs at the fact that Meggy doesn't know and she rolls her eyes before continuing.

Meggy: Luigi does, however, and he might even remember where it exactly is.

Luigi: (turning around) What do I know?

Meggy: Where Alphacore is.

Luigi: I...(thinking) ...I think so.

Axol: Let's hope you do, because we've got anywhere from five to twelve hours to do this before we are thrown into another loop, and I don't want to imagine it if it gets worse like Alphacore said to you.

Luigi: Then let's do this. I'm done wasting time.

E. Gadd stopped the group at a doorway into another room and opened it, revealing a massive arsenal of weaponry, defense, and survival tools. The appearance of the weapons alone was all it took to send everyone into a frenzy.

E. Gadd: Hey! Hey! Easy! Take your time! I'm going to send in only three at a time to pick out anything they want so we don't cram the room and break something.

Mario, Meggy, and Desti were the first ones to enter the room, and Desti immediately picked up a weapon that looked like a bow, but with a trigger and stock on it.

Desti: What is this thing?

Meggy: That's...a crossbow.

Desti: Really? Cool. Never seen one before. I think I'll choose this.

Mario: Sure you want to go with one of those against these creatures?

Desti flips over the crossbow and looks at the underbelly of it where a message was imprinted on it stating: "WARNING: Highly flammable bolts."

Desti: It says that the bolts used for this are flammable.

Mario: That must mean that they are explosive arrows.

Meggy: That's really interesting...you gonna choose it?

Desti: Hell yeah I am. I'm not missing out on this. Just imagine the things I'd be able to do with this.
