One month since their special wedding, Mario and Meggy have been decorating and putting together the interior of their new house. Luigi had also lived in the house for the first few weeks to help decorate, then, he'd be moving into a complex with Saiko, Tari, and SMG4. He had pulled Mario aside in the recent weeks to ask if it was a good idea, but Mario was skeptical about it until Luigi had given in and told his brother that he had feelings for Saiko and was in a relationship with her. Meggy was most shocked by this news because she also never knew about this.
Mario: How long have you two been a thing!?
Luigi: About...three months?
Mario: You've been in a relationship since the attack on Ricitua and we never knew!?
Meggy: Now I feel like I should go yell at Saiko for not telling me.
Luigi: She's a little sensitive about people knowing, so please don't go to her.
Meggy: I'll be sure to come across as if I never knew you told me.
Luigi: I hope so.
Meggy smirks as she runs out of the house and Luigi calls after her, but gets no response.
Luigi: Dammit. I shouldn't have told her.
Mario: She won't say too much, Luigi. Don't worry.
Luigi: You already know that's a lie.
Mario: ...Yeah...I guess I'm always a bit too...distracted.
Luigi: By what?
Mario: I don't know.
Luigi: Mario...for the love of god: keep it in your pants.
Mario: Hey! It's hard when dating...eh...I mean married to a hot girl.
Luigi: I won't even try to argue with you.
Mario: Why? Is it because I'm right?
Luigi: No.
Mario: I know it's because I'm right.
Luigi: I'm not discussing this with you.
Mario: I know I'm right.
Luigi: Will you shut up about that!?
Mario: Fine! Okay!
Mario backs off a step and stands still for a moment and then walks over to a wall and grabs a box of items and pulls out a calendar. He places it on the wall and flips it to February and looks at the date with a strange gaze.
Mario: Uh...Luigi?
Luigi: *sigh* Yes, Mario?
Mario: What day is it today?
Luigi: The fourteenth. Why?
Mario: A bit of a weird question...but...does Valentine's Day exist sixty four million years in the past?
Luigi: Uh no...but...*inhales* Oh shit it's Valentine's Day.
Mario: This...isn't good.
Luigi: Why is it not good? Valentine's Day is the most overrated-
Mario: I never got something for Meggy!
Luigi: Mario. Dammit. Valentine's Day isn't a thing. It's literally just a day where people are extra romantic to their partners.
Mario: I don't care. I need to find something for her.
Luigi: Like what?
Mario: I could get her a coffee brewer...but I don't know if she likes coffee...and I would have to steal one of the Quantum.
