The week finished uneventful, yet on edge. I hadn't gained any new memories back and for a moment I was beginning to feel like I would never remember my life. Ginny had convinced me the day before to come watch the Quidditch game with her today. It was Slytherin against Hufflepuff. At first I declined, as I wanted to visit Dumbledore wondering if he could tell me more about Tom Riddle. But Dumbledore was not in town and I had nothing else to do.This was the one day I didn't have to dress in uniform. I put on some normal clothes (I had bought some when I went shopping with Hagrid with the money Dumbledore had generously provided me with) and waited for Ginny in the Great Hall. She appeared minutes later with two, tall identical looking boys standing behind her. I raised an eyebrow of curiosity, recognizing them as her brothers. Ginny noticed my look and turned around, her shoulders drooped slightly as she noticed them.
"Terra, you remember my brothers correct?" she asked with a laugh. "That's Fred and he's George," she pointed. "Fred, George, this is Terra Edwards."
Standing in almost the same manner they politely smiled and said, "Hello!"
I chuckled in surprise at their similar voices. They held charming grins and I knew immediately they were in Gryffindor as well. It felt odd walking around and seeing students in their normal, everyday clothing. For a while it felt as if there were no divisions at all between the houses. Although being friendly with one another from different houses was encouraged, it was obvious most students hung out with students who shared the same houses as them.
"Hi," I said feeling a little shy. They seemed a bit older judging by their heights, though I couldn't exactly tell.
"Shall we?" One of the twins (I couldn't tell the difference yet) asked. Ginny nodded and we made our way out to the stands. I felt odd joining the Gryffindor stands when I should probably be cheering on my own house. I noticed all the green from the side I was standing on and for a moment I felt a twinge of guilt for not standing there in support of Slytherin. I entered the stands and followed Ginny as she walked over and sat down next to Harry, Hermione, and Ron. Harry shot Ginny a shy smile and it was at that exact moment I knew they liked each other. Like liked.
"Hello." I grinned at the trio. They waved and said hello's in response. "So I don't exactly know the rules of the game," I mumbled to Ginny.
She jumped into an explanation after announcing that she, Harry, and her brothers were on the team for Gryffindor. After Ginny finished explaining all the positions I noticed all the players from each team walk out onto the field. I squinted my eyes at the Slytherin team and scanned it to see if I recognized anyone. And I did. I saw Terence, Zabini, Crabbe, Goyle, a boy with poor teeth named Flint from my Charms class, and unsurprisingly, Draco Malfoy. Looks like he was off his crutches and actually participating.
I sunk down in my seat slightly as I noticed Malfoy and Terence glancing up at the stands, probably searching for their fans. Cheers were erupting all around us, so it was easy to blend in. Not to mention, these stands were extremely high up. But I knew soon enough I would be eye-level with the players once they started flying.
The game started a short while after Madam Hooch blew the whistle. I recognized her as the referee of the game and also as the teacher for First Year flying lessons. Unfortunately, I had not received the chance to meet her and instead I had met Terence Higgs.
The game was very fast-paced, Slytherin already in the lead. I noticed that Malfoy was the Seeker as he and another brunette Hufflepuff player raced to chase after the Snitch. My breath caught in my throat the moment Terrence flew up towards the Gryffindor stands and watched the game from
above. I shrunk back and my head accidentally smacked the knee of one of the twins behind me. He laughed while moving his knee slightly out of the way.
