chapter 6

To my surprise, I was so incredibly exhausted after my long day of class, flying, then shopping for textbooks that I passed out in bed almost instantly. I hadn't received a chance to visit Dumbledore so I had decided to wake up earlier the next day and report how I was feeling.

The dreams following my sleep were certainly not pleasant. I dreamt of a man with no nose again. He looked terrifying, dressed in all black and he even had a pet snake. I was standing on one of the staircases of an empty Hogwarts and he was standing on another moving staircase watching me from afar with an evil grin.

"Come to me, Child." he said as he took a step closer on the stairs. I gasped and backed up against a frame, my back hitting the Gryffindor entrance in the process. The lady in the frame had disappeared, probably gone somewhere else to hide. He took another step down the staircase as my heart began pumping like crazy.

"Stop!" I yelled with fear. "Don't come any closer." I muttered firmly but my voice came out all shaky and scared. The man began laughing. His head was a pale, blueish color. It almost disgusted me. His eyes darkened with fury as he pulled out his wand from under his cloak immediately.

"You cannot turn your back against me." His voice rose making me flinch at the sound. "I am the DARK LORD. You will serve me!" he roared while pointing his wand directly at me. "Obliviate!" he shouted.

"Stupefy!" I bellowed back but was too late as his spell sent me tumbling off the staircase. I screamed with pain feeling the blood already dripping from my head. I heard a dark laugh in the distance.

"Come, Nagini," the voice whispered.

And then my eyes shot open and I gasped for air, grasping the blankets surrounding me. I noticed the room lights were on and my bed curtain was pulled to the side. All the girls stared at me wide-eyed from their own beds and Pansy was standing a many inches away from my bed. I sat up quickly and felt my back covered in sweat. My hands were still shaking with terror.

"What?" I said as they continued to stare at me in horror. "What happened? Did I do something?" I turned to face Pansy who was still frozen in her spot.

"You were screaming in your sleep. And when I went to wake you, you had your wand pointed at me," Pansy whispered then backed away from me further. My eyes widened as I searched my bed for my wand.

"Don't worry. I disarmed you," Millicent said with a hard look on her face. I glanced back up with sorry in my eyes. Tracey and Daphne were silent, I mean when had they spoken to me ever?

"Guys, I-I'm so sorry. I didn't know, I was having a bad nightmare-"

"Yeah. We knew you were a freak Edwards, but we didn't think you were a total psycho until now," Pansy muttered as she retreated back to her bed. Her words stung slightly but I pushed them away.

"Guys, really I'm sorry it must be my brain, I think I'm gaining my memories back I'm not sure. I-"

"Whatever it is, Edwards. Stay the fuck away from us. For all we know, you could kill us in our sleep," Pansy snapped once more then shut off the lights.

Tears formed in my eyes at the sound of her words as I silently listened to them lay down and pull there covers up again. I wondered if this event was going to result in me becoming expelled. I shivered at the thought and wiped the tears from my eyes as I felt my hand around for my wand then discovered it under my bed. Putting my night slippers on, I silently slipped out of the room and Girls Dormitory down towards the common room.

The fire was not glowing this time, making the common room appear to look pitch black. My guess is that it was probably exactly midnight right now judging by the color of the sky.
