"Oh, dear no, no, no. There will be no dozing off in my class. Miss Edwards!" called out a shrill voice. I snapped out of my trance as I glanced over at Professor Sinistra. "Please, gather your telescope. I know it's late, but that's the beauty of watching the stars at night. That's the beauty of Astronomy." She smiled at me as she directed me towards a spot near the ledge.

I grabbed my telescope, barely even processing her words correctly. My head was spinning and I had nothing left to say. I had nothing left to ponder or even think about. I just continued to replay the events in my head, feeling the squeeze in my muscles just at the thought of it.

"Are you alright, Terra?" asked Luna Lovegood. My eyes flickered to her, wide with confusion. She studied my expression then said, "I've interrupted a deep thought, haven't I?"

"Oh, um no, no you haven't." I chuckled nervously. I felt the darkness creep up inside me as Luna gazed at me sweetly.

"Are you sure you're alright? Your eyes seem a bit..." -she reached up and pointed, staring at my pupils intensely- "dark," she finished. I sucked in a breath as I turned away from her, rubbing my eyes furiously as if that would help.

Think of something that would make you happy, Terra. I thought of my lessons with Professor Snape and Harry, all the times where I had begun to perform well.

But nothing, nothing made me happy at the moment. I kept on envisioning my unconscious mother on the couch, Cedric's lifeless body, his gentle humor, Wormtail's grip on my shoulders, the photo of my father. It was piling up one by one. I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Come, Terra. You can help me set up my telescope, it may take your mind off whatever you're feeling for a moment," came Luna's soothing voice. I nodded my head, as she guided me away from the pillar that I was standing near.

"Th-thank you," I whispered to her as she droned on about Wrackspurts and how she knew they were filled in my head. I listened just to find the warmth in Luna so I can take some time for myself. She silently nodded her head at me, deciding not to remind me of my thoughts again.

When class finished, I waved good bye to Luna, telling her that I would see her during the next class of Astronomy. Professor Sinistra left the tower as well, instructing me to take care of myself and sleep well. I nodded my head politely, though I knew very well that this warm night of June was only beginning.

"I never realized how beautiful this place was," came Harry's soft voice after a long while. He placed his arms on the ledge next to me, and stared out at the landscape. I turned my head to watch his intrigued expression, a weary sigh escaping his lips. I noticed the reflection of the moon in his glasses, his green eyes twinkling with thought.

"Where is Dumbledore?" I asked, already beginning to feel my fingers tremble. I grabbed on to the metal of the railing, forcing my hands to stop shaking.

"He is on time, of course. You two are just simply early," Dumbledore said from behind us.

Harry and I stood up straight to gaze at the man in his half-moon spectacles and long purple cloak. There was something about the aura of Dumbledore that always made me feel at home. I couldn't help the smile form on my face. Harry had told me to meet him and Dumbledore here at the Astronomy tower after my class and I was feeling a little nervous. There was something about tonight that I felt it wasn't going to end well.

"I gained more memories while I was in class tonight," I murmured as he approached us.

"That's excellent."
