Chapter 81 - He Looked Up At His Uncle And Said, "My Mom Will Be Here Soon." (3)

Once she had decided on the menu, next would be the remodeling. Cheng Huan didn't know much in the remodeling area so she'd need to rely on someone else. She didn't know of any interior designer that she could count on so she reached out to Hu Tianhua and he recommended someone to her.

Cheng Huan quickly met up with the person. The two of them had a discussion and agreed on some basic designs. After the designer went back to his office, he quickly provided Cheng Huan with some drafts.

The blueprints looked very good and the costs for each section were clearly labeled. All in all, the remodeling would come out to be a little bit over the rent. Cheng Huan was pretty happy about it overall. She pointed out a few areas that she'd like to modified and they finalized the design.

The team that would be doing the remodeling was also recommended by the designer. All in all, Cheng Huan didn't need to be too involved.

Cheng Huan didn't exactly sit around while waiting for the remodeling to complete. She started the process of hiring, training, and looking for ingredients and supplies. As for the most importantly, her business license, she couldn't get it just yet until the remodeling is complete.

She has been spending money like they were out of fashion. The money that she had gotten from her old unit were more than half gone. The state of just spending money without return made Cheng Huan nervous. She always worried about what would happen if she could not make the money back. In fact, she was so worried that she had gained some white hair.

And that's when Xu Li paid her a visit.

Ever since Cheng Huan closed up her barbeque booth, Xu Li had also lost a part of her income. Cheng Huan had been very generous with her and she had been making more money at Cheng Huan's booth than at her day job. Without that income, the days at her home was tight again.

She had been helping with handling the transactions and knew that one could make a lot in the food business. With so much expenses at home, Xu Li didn't want to just earn a salary anymore. She thought about it for two days and came up with the idea that she could have her own booth. She talked to her family and they, too, were supportive of her decision.

Staring a booth was easy, bringing in business was a whole different story. With so many stalls at the night market, why was it that Cheng Huan's one was always the busiest?

Because their food was tasty.

Xu Li knew that the trick of Cheng Huan's barbeque meats lie with her marinate. Without that step, their barbeque meats would not have been the best amount all of the other ones.

Recalling that Cheng Huan said she wouldn't be doing barbeque any more, Xu Li had some hopes in her. She hoped that Cheng Huan would give her some pointers. She spent a few days to work up to it before she knocked on Cheng Huan's door.

Cheng Huan remained silent after she listened to Xu Li's request.

The recipe for barbeque meat was not a big deal to Cheng Huan at all. She had thought about handing it down to Xu Li before once she was done with barbequing.

She had merely forgotten about it because she had been too busy lately. Now that Xu Li came by, it had been brought up to her again.

Her silence made Xu Li felt uneasy. Sitting on the couch, her legs together, Xu Li felt dryness in her mouth. "I... I don't want to take advantage of you either. How about this? If my stall works out, I will give you half of my proceeds. If you worry about trust me, we, we can even sign a contract."
