Chapter 115 - Its One Size Too Small (2)

Hearing the footsteps getting closer, then turned around and left, that's when Jiang MingYuan realized that he had been holding his breath the entire time. He took a deep breath and was somewhat nervous. Looking at his wet clothes laying on one side, he contemplated putting them back on and walking out of the bathroom.

XingXing was pulled out from the under the warm blanket. He put on a little cotton jacket and went to deliver the clothes for his own father in his fuzzy slippers. He pulled the clothes inside the basket one by one and carried them in his arms. As he was short and have short arms, the sleeve of the shirt was almost scraping the floor. As Cheng Huan wasn't there, nobody was there to point that out to him. XingXing, with the clothes in his arms, stood outside of the bathroom and said loudly, "Open the door, Daddy. I brought you clothes!"

"Coming."

A steady male voice came from inside of the bathroom. As the water sound died down, Jiang MingYuan stood behind the door and opened up a crack. He reached out one arm and said, "Okay, now give them to Daddy."

XingXing's sight was blocked by the clothes and couldn't see the hand at all. He looked up at the door. Noticing that it wasn't opened, said again, "Daddy, open the door!"

Feeling helpless, Jiang MingYuan reached his arm out further. "Just put the clothes in Daddy's hand, XingXing."

"There is no hand." XingXing looked left and right and still didn't see anything. He was starting to get tired of holding the clothes and didn't want to wait any longer. He took a step up and pressed his body against the door, trying to open it wider.

Jiang MingYuan, standing behind the door, wasn't expecting that and the door was pushed open by XingXing. A cold breeze got in and gave him goosebumps. He was stunned for a second before he quickly took a step aside. His heart beat lost its rhythm for a brief second and doubted the person outside had seen anything.

As all sorts of thoughts crossed his mind, XingXing had already went inside the bathroom. Holding his arms up high, he handed the clothes over to Jiang MingYuan. "Here's your clothes, Daddy!"

"Thank you, darling." Even though he felt awkward, Jiang MingYuan didn't let any of that show. He took the clothes from XingXing and thanked him with a smile. He coaxed the little kiddo out and closed the door as soon as he walked out.

The steam inside of the bathroom was mostly gone and he was getting cold fast. Jiang MingYuan didn't have time to think too much. He put the clothes on the rack next to him, pulled out the towel, and started drying himself.

When she heard the sliding door opened up again, Cheng Huan walked out of the bedroom.

Jiang MingYuan, standing outside of the bathroom, had a peculiar look on his face.

The two of them exchanged a look. Both of them felt a little bit awkward, but they both hid it very well and didn't let it show.

Cheng Huan didn't have large size slippers at her place so the man was standing bare feet on the floor. The clothing that Cheng Huan had bought him fit him quite well. Granted, the clothes from the supermarket had no styles to speak of, but he was good looking enough that it didn't matter what he had on. His hair was still wet and water was dripping from it. Jiang MingYuan asked for the hairdryer to dry his hair. Then he dried his feet with the towel and put on his shoes that was sitting outside of the door.

When he bent down, Cheng Huan could see there was an apparent hesitation.

"What's wrong?" Noticing his pause, Cheng Huan asked him.

Jiang MingYuan put on his shoes at normal speed, stood back up, and said nonchalantly. "It's a size too small."

"Looks fine to me." Cheng Huan was a little baffled. The clothes didn't look that tight on him.

Jiang MingYuan gave him a look and didn't say anything. He picked up his clothes from the bathroom and asked for a bag from her so he could bring his clothes home with him.
