XingXing wasn't subtle when he bounced over and Cheng Huan noticed him right away.
The little kiddo ran over to her side and lifted up the cube to show her. He looked just like how he did when he completed the 2x2 successfully.
"Look, mom!"
"XingXing is so awesome," said Cheng Huan as she walked aside with the little kiddo, took the cube from him and studied it. "How did XingXing do it?"
"An uncle taught me," said XingXing as he pointed toward where he was sitting. "It's the same uncle who was here yesterday."
The little kiddo pointed over in the direction before he looked. He didn't look over until he was done talking.
XingXing scratched his head and pulled his hand back, slightly embarrassed, and said to Cheng Huan, "Uncle is gone."
"He has probably left. It's getting late and uncle needs to go to bed too." Cheng Huan didn't pay too much attention over where her son was when she was busy. She vaguely remembered this uncle that XingXing had talked about.
Both times the man came in full suit and looked very out of place. He also didn't seem very interested in the BBQ. Cheng Huan remember Xu Li commenting on it just yesterday how wasteful the man was when he only took one bite out of the pile of food that he had ordered.
Cheng Huan didn't get a good look at the man and had no idea of his intention. She recalled cases of kidnapping that she had heard in the news and got a little bit worried.
She squatted down, straightened out XingXing's clothes and said to him, "Darling, why don't you play over on this side starting tomorrow? That way mommy can see you."
XingXing didn't care too much where he plays. He nodded at her words and agreed.
"Good baby." Cheng Huan kissed him on his cheek. She then took a look at the time, mentioned it to Xu Li and was about to head home with XingXing.
Cheng Huan, who was heading home with her son, had no idea that the man she thought might be a kidnapper was actually a poor father who had just learned that he has a son.
Jiang MingYuan went back to the BBQ stand again the next day and noticed that XingXing had switched to a new spot. The little kiddo was still playing with his Rubik's cube today and was very focused on it. He didn't notice someone looking at him from afar.
The spot XingXing was staying at today was too close to the BBQ rack. He felt for sure that he'd attract Cheng Huan's attention if he walked over there. Jiang MingYuan was not yet ready to meet with the child's mother so he stood and watched for a bit from the outside and left before anyone noticed him.

There was finally some news back from the management company that Cheng Huan had reached out to previously for a store front location.
She received a call from them early this morning.
The person over on the other side of the call was very enthusiastic. "Hi, is this Miss Cheng? About that store front location that you've asked us to keep an eye out for, we have a few decent ones available. Would you like to come take a look?"
"You found it already?" Cheng Huan was very happy and she thanked them profusely. "I will be right over."
Putting down the phone, Cheng Huan walked over to XingXing who was still eating and pinched him on his little chubby cheek.
A spring roll in his hand, XingXing looked up, baffled, "Mom?"
