Chapter 135 - It pained Jiang MingYuan a little but he remained silent. (1)
XingXing stood in front of Jiang MingYuan while hugging onto his thigh tightly. His face was pressed against his pants and all of the lipstick transferred onto his pants. He dared not look at his mother at all.
But that was before. Now that his daddy was on his side, the little kiddo became braver. His ears moved a little and, moving his head back a little, he quickly turned his head to his mother and said, "I'm a good kid." Then he hid his head again.
His head didn't stay still after it was hidden behind Jiang MingYuan. He kept moving around so the lipstick that was transferred onto the clothe transferred back onto his face. With a patch here and a patch there, now he looked like a calico cat.
Cheng Huan's lips twitched. She could barely bear looking at it. Standing up, she reached out and dragged the little kiddo off of Jiang MingYuan as he watched on helplessly.
Hearing the footsteps, XingXing held on tighter to his daddy. Unfortunately, all resistance was futile in front of absolute power.
His father, whom he had counted on greatly, was not able to protect him.
"Have you taken a look at your pants? I can't believe you still tried to defend him." Having her struggling son in her arm, Cheng Huan stared at the stain on his pants and said, "Do you need to change?"
It was obvious that she was trying to send him away and also send another message at the same time – she couldn't just let this one go.
"Alright." Jiang MingYuan knew what she has in mind but he didn't reject. Their son has been getting naughtier and it's important to teach him a lesson. He nodded and said, "Okay. Let me go down and get a change of clothes."
Cheng Huan smiled and waved at him. "You go."
Hearing that his daddy was going to take off, XingXing became worried all of a sudden. He looked up and called out timidly, "Daddy?"
"Daddy needs to change." Cheng Huan took a look at XingXing. Her smile was tender. Having said that, she gave Jiang MingYuan another look, gesturing him to take off.
Jiang MingYuan smiled good tempered but also avoided looking at his son again before he turned and left.
His suitcase was packed by his assistant and it wasn't a very big suitcase. Jiang MingYuan pulled out a pair of dress pants from inside and changed in the car. It was still early so he waited for a bit longer before he slowly made his way back upstairs.
By the time he got back up, Cheng Huan was, indeed, still giving XingXing her "education of love". He didn't know what she had said to him, but the little kiddo only took a look at him before he retrieved his head. He no longer dared to run over to him for protection now.
The conversation between the two was toward its tail end and XingXing had promised to clean up his own mess. Cheng Huan, sitting back on the couch, gave a barely noticeable nod. "Okay. Go then. Better hurry up. Daddy and Mommy have a flight to catch. If you take too long we will have to leave you behind."
XingXing looked like he was about to start crying. There were tears in his eyes but he held them back strongly. He nodded with an unjust look and said, pouting, "Yes, Mommy."
Cheng Huan had asked XingXing to clean up the floor, the blanket, and Jiang MingYuan's pants.
Hearing that his son was going to wash his pants for him, Jiang MingYuan reflexively pleaded for him, "There's no need to wash my...."
He was only half way though his sentence before the second half disappeared under Cheng Huan's look of swords.
"Alright..."
Cheng Huan was serious when she said XingXing has to clean up his own mess. Her son was still young and money didn't mean much to him. In his eyes, there was not much difference between lipsticks and his own crayons. Telling him that he had wasted a lot of money would be a moot point. She also didn't want to resort to corporal punishment all the time. Excessively corporal punishment wasn't a good thing in a child's development.
And that was how this came to be – clean up after your own mess.
