Chapter 99 - All It Took Was One Shot (1)
Even though she had promised Jiang MingYuan that he could spend time with XingXing, Cheng Huan was not thrilled about this.
She felt as though a treasure that belonged only to her previously was now eyed by another person. He said to her that they should be sharing this treasure should be shared by the two of us; otherwise it would be ruined.
Even though she knew that he was right and she couldn't find a reason to decline him, but she still wasn't happy about it.
And that was the state that Cheng Huan was in currently.
She knew that it wasn't a bad thing for XingXing to have a father; that way he could avoid all the odd looks coming from others. On the other hand, she was upset that XingXing showed so much affection toward Jiang MingYuan. He only need to give him a little perks to steal him away.
She was very torn deep down inside.
Troubled, Cheng Huan fell into deep sleep. After she dropped XingXing off at school the next day, she headed toward Rongjiang.
The remodeling of her new shop was over half way done and should be completed by November. The training of her staff was going well as well. The chef came from Xiao Province so he was already familiar with the whole lamb feast and the taste was decent.
After she spent half a day over at Rongjiang, Cheng Huan timed herself and went over to pick XingXing up from the kindergarten.
XingXing asked to buy some more coloring pencils on their way back so they made a detour. When the walked out of the supermarket, the night market was in front of them.
The sky was getting dark earlier now and the night market also started earlier. When Cheng Huan looked over, she so happened to see Xu Li riding over on her tricycle.
Their rain canopy and tricycle all came from Cheng Huan. She had sold them to Xu Li used. As the taste didn't change, business had been good for Xu Li and she could make upward of 1,000 yuan a night.
After they have gotten home, Cheng Huan started dinner and XingXing went to draw on his own. Half way through her cooking, Cheng Huan heard the phone ringing. Cheng Huan walked out and realized that it wasn't her phone; it was XingXing's communicator watch.
Everybody could hear the sound coming from the caller. Even from the kitchen, Cheng Huan could hear the deep and melodious male voice.
"What are you doing right now, XingXing?"
"I'm drawing," said XingXing as he colored in his drawing.
Speaking of drawing, that reminded Jiang MingYuan of that "XingXing's mother" with her green hair and purple shirt. His brows twitched a little and he asked, "What are you drawing?"
"I am drawing a sun, stars, and a moon." Next to the circular sun, the little kiddo drew a crescent moon. He then added a bunch of stars in between them.
"The sun is yellow and so are the stars..." XingXing mumbled as he drew. Jiang MingYuan would acknowledge him intermittently.
After he was doing drawing, he appreciated it for a while himself before he took it over to show it to Cheng Huan.
"Mommy, I'm done."
This was a homework assignment from the kindergarten and the parent needed to grade and sign off on it after it was done.
Of course they basically all got 100 points.
Cheng Huan took a look at it and was pleased. The little kiddo had gotten much better at drawing the moon now. She put down the thing in her hand, went to look for a pen to sign her name on it before she handed the drawing back to XingXing. "Okay, go now. Don't lose it."
As they were talking, Jiang MingYuan stayed on the phone the entire time. He was listening to their interaction as he went over more documents on his end. Hearing that Cheng Huan had given XingXing 100 points, he chuckled and said, "XingXing is so awesome."
XingXing had already forgotten that he was still on the phone with someone. Jiang MingYuan's voice started him. XingXing, with his eyes widened, brought his watch closer and asked, "Who are you?"
Jiang MingYuan, "......"
After a short pause, he said, "I am your fa.... Uncle Jiang."
