When I entered the Three Broomsticks Inn I was still in a sour mood, but I tried my best to calm down and not think of the Malfoy family situation.
I noticed Ron and Hermione after a few seconds and sat down at their table."So how do you like Hogsmeade?" Hermione asked me, drinking some sort of beer.
"It's... full of strong characters," I tried to find the right words.
I could see her getting confused, probably wanting to ask me what I meant, but the waiter approached us before he could.
"What would you like to drink?"
"She'll have a Butterbeer," Ron answered for me.
The waiter looked at him, then at me - making sure it's what I wanted.
"Yeah... what he said," I confirmed.
He nodded and walked away.
"What's Butterbeer?" I asked Ron.
"You'll see. It's like beer, but better."
"I might wash it down with some vodka," I let it slip, not able to control the rage I felt inside of me.
I was annoyed, but I couldn't figure out why.
Sure, the things Draco's father said definitely had something to do with it, but there was something else that I couldn't quite put my finger on.
Maybe it was the fact that I was wrong and that everyone else was right?
Everyone was telling me that Draco was a terrible person, and I finally got a reason to believe them, even though I tried really hard not to."Is everything okay, Kaiye?" Hermione asked me.
"Yeah, I'm just a bit... stressed," I rubbed my temple.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"Not really... it will pass," I smiled and she nodded understandingly.
Just as my order arrived, I heard the small bell, indicating that someone entered the inn. As I was facing the door, I couldn't escape the sight of two familiar blond faces walking in.
I can only presume my expression changed, as Ron turned around and looked in the same direction I did.
"Daddy's boy," Ron huffed, "I'm not surprised he turned out the way he did."
"What can you expect?" Hermione added, "With a father like that, he can't know any better."
"Is his father really that bad?" I asked them. He sure was rude towards me, but maybe he could've been a decent person.
"Trust me, you don't want to know," Ron turned back around.
"I heard he's having some issues with his dad though," Hermione said in a lower voice.
"Where did you hear that from?" Ron looked surprised.
"Luna overheard them shouting at each other a few weeks ago. Apparently he came to Hogwarts to drop something off for Draco."
"Of course he did," Ron rolled his eyes, "What would poor Draco do without his daddy?" he said mockingly.
"Okay, enough about him. Did you try the Butterbeer Kaiye?"
I took a quick sip, as I completely forgot to do it before. The drink tasted similar to beer, only with a richer, sweeter taste.
"It's really good!" I took another sip.
We spent a few more hours at Hogsmeade, visiting a few more shops and drinking a few more Butterbeers. When we returned to Hogwarts, it was already dark and cold outside, but I got sweaty from the long walk. I couldn't wait to get into my shower.
