(Hawks POV)
The sky was crying and (y/n) was enjoying every second of it.
She was jumping from puddle to puddle, splashing the city water all over her shoes and her surroundings, smiling like a little kid despite the grey and rainy weather.
"Hawks!" she yelled. "Come jump with me!"
He didn't really know how to respond, but he was bored. Nightly patrols were super uneventful, and he doesn't like to stand still. Luckily for the Hero, hanging around (y/n) hadn't proved to have a single dull moment, so far.
He fluttered towards the girl, and letting his feet fall suddenly onto the ground, creating a large splash.
"Oh, it's so on, now!" she giggled, jumping up and stomping as a response.
"Hey kid, you gotta be careful with these kind of things. Don't start something you can't finish" he winked.
(y/n) threw herself onto him, causing them both to fall onto the wet ground. Hawks, being caught between the murky water and her figure, got utterly soaked.
"Mnn, I dunno. I'm pretty sure this kid knows exactly how to finish what she started" she mimicked his wink.
"You sure about that?" Using his wings, Keigo pushed himself off the ground, bringing (y/n) with him. The sudden change in positions caught her off guard, and she stumbled backwards, falling on her ass in a deep puddle.
"Alrighty then, bird boy, you better watch yourself. You're never gonna see me coming"
                              "Cute" he chuckled.
Week 3 of operation (l/n): Keigo felt like he was losing his mind.
Flipping from serious to light-hearted in mere seconds. Complaining about his fake smiles one moment, then saying he was so tense around her the next. But that wasn't what bothered him the most; what really bothered him was how often she was right.
"You can't lie to me. And that bothers you"
It does. It really, really does. If he was feeling slightly down, she tried to cheer him up. Not that this was something bad, it was just... unusual. Keigo needed to suppress his emotions if he was going to be a successful spy. That's what he was taught. That's what he knows. That's what is right. Besides, if you smile enough on the outside, surely the inside will follow suit.
                              Surely, it will.
This transparency didn't work both ways, which made Keigo even more uncomfortable. (y/n) hadn't given him any information about anything. Not her quirk, not her personality, not why she had committed murder, nothing. A couple of times, the thugs even recognized her. When he brought it up, asking about how notorious she is, she simply stared at him, blinked, and proceeded to continue whatever she was doing. Not even trying to make up an excuse or lying to avoid suspicion.
There was something else. This feeling of... being followed. Hawks had merely written it off as paranoia, but his gut told him that someone was there that night, and that he wasn't alone.
He didn't like the feeling at all.
                              "CRASH"
Hawks was snapped back to reality by the sound of a clattering trash can lid. It was probably just a stray cat, but he needed to make sure.
"Shit! I told you to sto-" (y/n) yelled out, before falling down. "What the fuck, X?!"
She'd face-planted onto the ground. Then, the water from all the puddles in their surroundings started to float in the air. A villain with a water manipulation quirk?
