Your legs swung peacefully over the void, a grand distance from the ground.

The roof of Keigo's agency was your new favorite place to get away from the world, since your own home brought some... mixed feelings.

All because Keigo was there, too.

The wind was especially angry today, pushing you from side to side and making your wonder if you could actually fall, and have no one to catch you.

You know, just some regular people thoughts for tonight, as usual.

You lost track of how much time had passed since that fateful night where X both ruined and gave purpose to your life. All that you knew was that it hadn't been an entire year yet, or else you would have gone to visit your best friend once more on the anniversary of his death.

This time, you promised yourself you'd do it while sober.

(h/n) started to grow on you, whether you'd admit it or not. In the beginning, you were extremely opposed to the thought of conforming to that image that society had for you, but eventually, you had realized that it wasn't as though the entire world was against you.

You were just making a big deal out of everything; the universe was being nice to you for once in your life, and things were going smoothly. Why would you ruin that again?

You couldn't ruin it.

Shivers ran up your spine, goosebumps settling on your skin, and you noticed that it was getting late, and you were starting to get cold.

Setting out towards the edge, you used your quirk in order to slide down the side of the building and reach your destination in no time.

"Hey, Keigo I'm b-" You arrived at the front door, and knocked, noticing that the door had been left wide open.

That's odd.

Your first instinct was to expect a villain; it wasn't unusual for Heroes to receive some unwanted visitors, especially when they have as many stalkers and fans as Hawks does.

"Keigo, Keigo, I'm busy! Just call me back" You brought your phone to your ear, and pretended to be on the phone, in hopes that the intruder hadn't thought you said his real name.

You "hung up", and continued acting out your oblivious persona. No one was anywhere to be seen, but the balcony door was open, too.

'This isn't good. We can't hear any Shadows, so if there's someone here, they're doing a good job of hiding their fear'

"Check around for any signs of them" you ordered silently, whispering into your sip of water to hide it from the potential peeper.

A few seconds were all it took for you to receive a confirmation that you were indeed alone in the apartment.

"If there wasn't anyone here, then..."

'I didn't find any people, but I did find this'

X had possessed a piece of paper with Keigo's messy writing - that you found utterly adorable - and waved it in front of your face.

"The fuck? X, we're not spying on him, that's a breach of his privacy!" you squealed, eyes shut as to not look at the words and contradict what you had just said.

'We're not spying, but looks as though he is'

Your eyelids lifted under the curiosity that was taking over your being, and you caught a glance at it.
