"HEINZ?"

Nanlalaki ang mga matang tiningnan ni Tyler ang mayor na nasa harap niya.

"Yes," sabi ng lalaki. "Si Heinz. Public Defender din siya rito, he's a great fit for your team."

Halos umikot ang mga mata niya dahil sa sinabi ng lalaki. Ngayon ang unang araw niya sa trabaho at plano niya sana gawin na ang grupo na gusto niya at kuhanin ang mga miyembro na pinagkakatiwalaan niya pero ngayon pa lang ay pinakikialam na siya.

"Teka lang ha," sabi ni Tyler. "I thought I am free to scout the members I want?"

"Yes, Mr. Scott," sabi ng mayor. "Pero hindi ka makahanap ng isa pa. You can't scout Ms. Spencer or Mr. Stevens. Sayang naman ang panahon so I'll include Heinz instead para hindi ka na mahirapan. We all trust him. You'll never regret having him. He's the ace."

"How can he be an ace?" tanong ni Tyler.

"Well, he has this kind of gift. Like, like he can dream who's gonna die next."

Tyler's eyes widened. "Really?! That sounds suspicious for me, though."

"At first, we all thought so," the mayor said. "But trust me, he'll prove to you that he's not a fraud. No wonder why he got the name he deserves."

"And what was that?" Tyler curiously asked.

The mayor smirked.

"The angel of death..."

It started. He had a meeting with them. He told them why they were created and what was their common goal, giving birth to the death chasers. They even received a human eye and he knew that was a warning.

"What do you think of Heinz?" tanong ni Tyler kay Newt nang minsang nag-titimpla sila ng kape.

Newt shrugged. "Cute siya."

Tiningnan niya ito nang masama.

"Seryoso, ang cute niya tapos parati pang naka-sweater. Ang sarap yakapin."

Tyler scoffed that made Newt laughed.

"Threatened ka 'no? Finally, may mas gwapo na sa 'yo."

Tyler and Newt laughed.

"What is it, Tyler?" Newt later asked. "You seemed suspicious of him."

"I actually am," sabi ni Tyler. "Isn't it suspicious na he can predict the death? What if he orders it?"

"Tyler-"

Natigil si Newt nang biglang lumitaw si Heinz. Nagkatinginan si Tyler at Newt at hindi malaman ang gagawin dahil alam nilang narinig sila nito.

"You should kick this area once," sabi nito at sinipa ang gilid ng machine. Doon lumabas ang kape at natatarantang napalunok si Newt.

"Sige, salamat," sabi nalang niya.

Hindi kumibo si Heinz at nagpatuloy sa paglalakad. Habang papalayo ito ay tinititigan ito ni Tyler.

"Ang awkward n'on, hayop," bulong ni Newt.

"There's something wrong about him," bulong ni Tyler.

"What specifically?" tanong ni Newt.

Tyler shrugged. "Dunno. Basta para sa 'kin suspicious siya."

Ngunit hindi nagtagal ay nakuha nito ang loob niya.
