"Oh I forgot to ask. How should I address you ?"
The girl asked
"O-oh uh. You can call me Joshua"
I replied
"Joshua ? Are you from the west ???"
She asked as she looked at me
"Well, I was born there. I am fully Korean though"
I said while scratching the back of my neck
"Ohhh, where were you born at ?"
She asked
"Los Angeles, California, United States"
I replied
"Ohhh that explains your name haha. I am Sophia"
She introduced herself
"Are you from the west too ???"
I asked as she smiled
"Yep ! Just like you. Though, I am from Vancouver, Canada though"
She said as she laughed
"Are you mixed ?"
I asked and she nodded
"Well yeah ! My dad's a Canadian-Korean while my mom is pure Canadian. So I have that mixed blood"
She laughed
"Oh, that's an interesting fact"
I said as I laughed
We ended up talking a lot. Like how hard it was at first wanting to fit in here. Both of us ended up talking in English instead of in Korean since we're more comfortable talking in English.
I'd never expect this to happen, thank you God. For giving me a chance to love someone.
