Josies P.O.V
Friday night rolled around faster than I thought. For some reason I didn't feel right. I felt sorta sad without any reason. I remember Hope had invited, I mean demanded me to go with her to a jewelry exhibition tonight, and I was still in my casual clothes. I just couldn't get the words Hope said out of my head. Was she just toying with me.
After a while of contemplating I finally arrived at the location Hope asked me to.
I looked down and noticed one of my boot laces were coming undone. Before I could bend down to tie them someone beat me to it. I froze until the person stood up. Hope smiled, but I didn't see it since I walked passed her. I heard her sigh gently grabbing my arm.
"Let's go we have to get you looking less like that" she waved her hands at my outfit. She quickly pulled me into the building walking past a few staff members. She took me to this large room and sat down on a leather couch while I stood there like a lost puppy.
"Please take my date to the changing room and help her get dressed" Hope took out her phone ignoring any eye contact. The ladies grabbed me by both arms dragging me to the changing room and giving me a few pretty cute dresses to try on. I stood there looking at myself in the mirror holding the dress in front of me a little scared. My reflection looked nice, but i didn't feel like i would be able to pull something like this off.

Hope and Josie hated going to the mall. There was nothing to do, nor did Hope have the money to spend. It always made her feel bad, especially when she was with Josie. Wanting to buy her something nice at least once, but she knew that was never going to happen. Not now at least. So when Josie invited her to go to the mall and go shopping for a dress to wear at the winter formal dance Hope only groaned.
"Hey how about this one" Josie pulled a black dress with ruffles on the bottom from the rack and showed it to Hope. She simply shook her head in disapproval. Josie sighed putting the dress back leaning against the metal pole. "I know you hate dresses as much as I do, but there's a dress code to go to the dance" Josie smiled poking Hope on her forehead.
"Why can't you ask Lizzie to pick something for you" Hope asked walking away. Josie rolled her eyes following behind looking at the other dresses that were available. She wrapped one arm around her friend pulling her close.
"She ditched us an hour ago when she saw her boyfriend and other friends" Josie looked at Hope in annoyance due to her sisters behavior. Hope always hated how Lizzie would make Josie ditch everything to help her out, but when Josie needed help Lizzie would rather do anything else. Example, hang out with her boyfriend and friends rather then help Josie pick out a dress for the dance.
"Isn't she the one who convinced you to go to the dance and pay for the tickets" Hope shook her head trying so hard not to get mad at her friends sister. But she knew it was unfair.
"Yup... which mean we have to go" Josie smiled.
"Wii as in Nintendo wii" Hope laughed.
"No, we are going"
"Oui why are you speaking in French"
"Hope I bought you a ticket, so you have to go." Josie crossed her arms glaring at Hope.
"Josie, you know I hate dances and parties."
"I know... I just thought. I don't know maybe I could at least have one dance with you." Josie shyly said turning around hoping that her friend didn't see the blush that heated her cheeks. Hope let out a sigh finally agreeing to Josies request and began looking at the dresses. Hope turned her head looking at Josie who was still searching. Beside her was a clear glass case with a beautiful dress on a headless Manikin.
