Hope's P.O.V

I couldn't help the chills that were running down my spine. Every time I glanced beside me, Josie had the most deadliest glare I'd ever seen. All I did was invite Alaric and Lizzie to dinner and suddenly I had the urge to run for the hills and feed them to the wrath that was Josie Saltzman. In my defense I only invited them to catch up but I couldn't help but laugh knowing full well my intension was to tell them about Josies new career move. But in a nice way of course.

The dinner would be going smoothly by now if Josie would stop kicking me under the table. As soon as I put my menu down I was met with water spraying on my face. Did Josie just spit her water at me. Oh this was a new low.

"What are these prices. Are they even allowed to set them this high" the girl began to say as she choked on her water. I got Josies napkin and began to dry my face before throwing the napkin at her. She smacked me on my arm, and I did the same. Now here we were 23 year old girls smacking each other at a fine dinning restaurant.

"So Hope what have you been up to lately" Lizzie looked at me smiling away. It caught me off guard since she never smiled at me. She usually has a snide comment or a smirk but today she was being nice. I turned to Josie who just shrugged turning back to the appetizers of mozzarella sticks.

"Lately, I was working in Virginia for a few months before coming back here." I gave her a half smile.

"That's good, that's good... what are your intentions with my sister" she leaned in slight yelling above whispered. And there it is. Josie got up from her seat leaning close to her sister. She smacked Lizzie in the arm but it didn't phase her. "What makes you think you're good enough for her" I was a little taken back. How did she know my crush. I wasn't making it obvious or anything. I always hid it when we were kids, even now.

"Umm Im rich" I shrugged my shoulders giving Josie a wide smirk. This only made her groan in annoyances. Lizzie suddenly grabbed my hand and pulled it close to her. I saw dollar signs replace her eyes.

"Welcome to the family" she smiled. What was that just now. I mean, I knew Lizzie probably just as well as I knew Josie, mainly because every time I'd spend time with her, Lizzie always had to tag along to make sure I wasn't getting her sister in trouble. But then again I never actually got a chance to get to get to know her, never spend time together or anything like that. All I knew was, she didn't like me, and when Josie left she full on hated me with a passion. Despite all that, I did try to befriend her, for Josies sake.

"That's enough Lizzie, Hopes just messing with you. But it must be nice that you get to travel for work" Alaric finally decided to chip in.

"You wouldn't think it's cool if you knew what kind of jobs I was doing" I began to glance over the menu one more time.

"Really and what do you do?" Alaric smiled widely Interested in the conversation. I thought everyone knew what I did. I slowly leaned in and looked around making sure no one could hear me except the people at the table. This caused the older man and the blond to lean it as well.

"Well, I actually hunt down supernatural creatures and kill them. You know the whole shebang werewolf, vampires, witch's. Sometimes if I'm nice I take them to a school just for them" Lizzie and Alaric were looking at one another confused. Both Josie and I began to laugh at that looks lizzie and Alaric we're giving. Alaric shook his head smiling at the inside joke he didn't know was being made.

"The food is expensive here. Should we go somewhere else" Alaric brought the menu close probably making sure the prices were written incorrectly or his eye were just seeing things.

"Dad, we'll look bad if we leave without ordering." Lizzie turned to me and gave me a wink. She raised her hand in the air informing the waiter that we were ready to order. Josie grabbed my arm and pulled me closer to her.
