Chapter 15: Fragile Memory

You waited until you sensed no one in the hallway. Tiger ears twitching as you tried not to claw into the door. Tail waving as you slid the bedroom door open. Bouncing through the hallway to the secret door to the outside at the mid point of the hallway. Walking through it making it seem like you were coming in from you apartments you wear supposed to be staying at. Satoru had been so busy, he hadn't been home for a week. So you where on your own for getting in and out of the room safely.
You sighed a little as you mewed into the scarf you just wear all the time now. You had sprayed some of his cologne into it. Making you close your eyes and make a chuff sound. Not bothering to change forms as you neared the front of the school. Running through the tree tops as you entered once more. Staying within the barrier the whole time.
You dropped down at the entrance one of Yaga's cursed dolls in your arms bouncing the entire time. It wasn't set to go off with your energy. With how often you used yours to get around you were happy for it. "I have to agree with Itadori you are ugly cute."
You padded softly across the roof. Chuffing softly as you held the little doll. Dropping down before the kitchen. "Anyone here yet?" You let out a growl as you spun around to face a man. His wild black hair and thin eyebrows distinctive. He wear a light colored jacket over a white button down shirt. Black tie, pants, and shoes. You couldn't remember his grade of sorcery but that never bothered you. It's not like you payed attention to that anyway.
"I am, I didn't expect you to drop in like that." What was his name again? Kusakabe Atsuya? Atsuya had a habit of being early.
"Awww sorry I've still been practicing control." You flipped your ears back and forth as you started to get out the pre prepped meals. Working on finishing them as you hummed. Leaving the little cursed doll as your guardian on the counter. "I hope it doesn't bother you."
"No... it's interesting to see how it work. So this one isn't speed?" Atsuya asked as you dropped the form.
"No, it's more heightened reflexes, flexibility, and hearing, sense of smell." You smiled as you started to hum. Pulling your hair back as you did so.
"Hu... I half expected to see Gojo. I can smell his cologne." Atsuya said as he figited with something.
"Um... no sorry. He doesn't own the smell. There are many a man who wears it I'm sure." You tried to hide how pale you got. Such a stupid mistake for a little bit of comfort.
"That's true, so you sleep with lots of guys then?" Atsuya seemed curious as you looked at him shocked.
"No." Before focusing back on cooking. You grumbled about dummies who hadn't been home. Only leaving you little notes when he snuck back into the room for things. You were hiding a mountain of worry for Satoru. You stopped moving to rub your chest as it grew tight and painful almost.
"Are you alright?" Atsuya looked at you curiously.
"I... yes. I'm just worried. That's all." You turned to smile as you set out a meal in front of him.
"Oh... well someone did kidnap you. I do understand, though no one can get in the barrier with out being authorized. It's the safest place their can be. So don't be so nervous."
"I'm not worried for me. I haven't been anywhere but home and here. It's so busy for everyone. Where are they today?"
"Oh that, it's the teaching competition between schools today. The students went with them. That's why I was so confused smelling that cologne. It's just you, me, and Jinx here today. Seeing as she is an exchange." Atsuya was playing with the curse doll smiling a little.
"Oh then I won't have to make so much. Mmm, what to do then. I don't want to go home early. Maybe I can make something for everyone when they get back. Maybe some more onigiri for midnight snacks." You smiled big as you started to plan things out.
"Sure, whatever makes you happy I suppose. As long as we aren't in danger that's all that matters. I wouldn't explore anything. There are really dangerous things here." Atsuya shivered as he looked towards the door.
       Jinx stepping inside. Even with reverse curse healing her face was sacred with its claw marks. Something that if you asked about it she twitched rather unsightly. "Hello beautiful, just us three and the little beastie here today?"
       "Yep." Ever since you came back. When she entered the room some part of you got angry. You didn't understand why. But your eyes always shifted the dragon seeming to watch as closely to her as you did. You turned your back and walked over to your little table to eat your own meal.
       "Oh, have a boy over little pet? Smells yummy." She was purring as she looked you over. "Not as yummy as you are I'm sure. I like your scent better."
       "Why are you both smelling me? And I'm an adult. What's so shocking about that?" You grumbled softly as you ate your food. Before cleaning up and starting to get rice ready. Along with a few other things.
       "Mmmm now what are you doing pet?"
      "Don't call me that." You said as you turned to look at her. You froze seeing Atsuya was missing and so was the doll.
        "I'll call you what I want. Did you know curse energy comes in all kinds of useful forms. Mine, is special like yours." Jinx flicked her finger around. "I'm so sad you turned down the transfer program. It's only temporary. Just like the fine mist filling the room. You can't feel it but others can. You like Gojo seem to have a slight field around you. Keeping it from effecting you."
       "What are you doing?" You asked as you ignored her making onigiri. "I just don't think they need to exchange a cook. That just seems odd. I understand the teacher thing though. Aren't you supposed to be going back to your school soon?"
      "Yes pet and that's part of the problem you see. I can't leave here with out you." Jink blew a kiss in your direction but your scales rose up. Time pushing it away. The Smokey substance.
       "What do you mean? Why are you doing this?" Your form didn't need to shift with dragon so ready to lash out. Time slowed down. You watched her walked over and stand where you had been. You had moved easily away from her. Before time started up again. Jinx looked startled at first before her eyes found you by the door.
"Oh pet you don't know it yet but there is no escape. Sometimes self preservation out weights honor or trust." Jinx grinned she had long sleeves covering her hands as she sighed a little. "I was planning to use this to get away from Gojo, but well if anyone is going to fuck that god it will be me."
You narrowed your eyes but the gunshots rang out before you could move. A hole in Jinx sleeve as it fluttered aimed at you. Your body burned as you looked down, watching the blood bloom on your shirt. She shot you. Once in the chest and secondly in the leg third in the upper part of your arm. You growled but couldn't feel the dragon at all. You started to panic as you looked up wide eyed as you dropped to the floor. You grabbed a knife as you readied to fight back with everything you had.
"Little pet, I need to scar you like you did me. You see memory is such a fragile thing. You won't remember this happening once I'm through with you." She crouched down pulling you up by your hair as her fog leaked into your system. "My curse both breaks memory of me and paralyze it's victim. It is weak with out techniques but if I used them that doll would have alerted everyone. They know who did it anyway. This is my last chance to get out with you in hand. To think, your now the key to controling a Gojo. How cute."
You couldn't even blink as you stared openly at Jinx. Only to have her grind her heel into your leg wound. You couldn't even gasp, as you struggled to breath. Wanting to cry out as her boot heel ground harder into the leg wound.
"Oh and why you can't use your energy? These bullets wear made to take down Gojo. Your a test run now. One is supposed to lock down a weaker curse energy. Three was supposed to seal Gojo's. Luckily I have a few more rounds." You managed to form claws out of spite though they wear shaky at best and slice her tendon from her ankle. Dropping her. Only to have her fire a round into your back shoulder and arm. "No you shouldn't be able to move!" She growled as she then kicked you in the temple.
You growled angrily in your mind as you tried to push your way back out. No!!! Damn it. You should have just stayed in the room today. But you wear sure the man hadn't been a traitor. Your mind trying to move your broken body.
'I swear, if Gojo gets my butt kidnapped one more time. I'm clawing him up next time I see him. It's been a fucking week!' You sobbed inwardly as you relaxed the scarf with his scent was still on you. Just the smell made you happy but you missed him. Hoping the school did well in the event. It would have been fun to cheer the teachers on. Why did you have to be left behind? Then it dawned on you. 'I'm going to kill him.' Satoru was using you as bait. You knew it was because he had no choice, but still. You hoped they could clean up the traitors now.
