When Kaleb arrived at the Den it was just passed dinner service. Holding the pencils, he made his way to the infirmary. When he got there is was empty, not even a patient. So he stopped by the office, it too was empty. He made his way to the cafeteria, people where still sitting eating, he spotted Petra and Sadie. Making his way over to them he asked, "Have you seen Trixie around?" Petra shook her head, but Sadie answered him, "They were outside eating a little while ago." He nodded then stopped, "They?" "Trixie and Dr. Mullens." "Oh, right. Thanks Sadie."

Mulling it over for a split second he decided that 8:30 really wasn't too late to stop in and see her, so head headed to her room. The door was slightly open, and a light was on, she was probably reading. Stepping in he saw her bare backside, and the doctor. He diverted his eyes immediately, then back out of the room. He quietly shut the door, was it open? He couldn't remember, and the shock of what he just saw held him. He tried to reason with a rational explanation in his head, but there weren't any. Did the doctor see him? What the hell had happened in the last month he was gone?

In the morning Trixie went to check on Petra, she was doing mild bedrest, getting up for food and to go the bathroom. After chatting for a while she asked, "Did Kaleb find you last night?" There was a heavy thump in her chest, he was back? "No, he didn't. I didn't know he was back." Surprise showed on Petra, "He came back around dinner time, maybe he just decided to go to bed." Trixie nodded, after their last run in at night maybe he wanted to steer clear of night visits. "Well I'm going to go see if he's getting breakfast." Trixie left and headed to the cafeteria, her heart did a little speedy thump. She wasn't sure if she wanted to see him yet, but she knew if this wasn't squashed soon things would never return to normal.

He was sitting at a table alone, slightly hunched over his eggs eating. She slid onto the bench across from him, "Hey I didn't know you came back last night, did the whole team come back?" Kaleb didn't look at her, not even a slight acknowledgment. Abruptly he stood up and returned his plate and began walking out of the cafeteria. Out of sorts Trixie sat there for a second before following after him, she called out as he rounded the corner headed down the hall to his room, he didn't even flinch. "Kaleb, I said wait!" He opened his door and slammed it behind him. She stood in front of his door and pondered his behavior. What the hell was his problem?

She knocked, he didn't answer. She knocked again this time louder, "Kaleb?" Again she was met with silence. Hesitating for a moment she decided if he could barge into her room, she could do the same. Opening the door she came in, he was sitting on his bed. He turned looking at her, his angry expression held heavy on his face. "Get out!" She crossed her arms in front of her and scowled, "No. What the hell is your problem?" "The door was close for a reason Trixie." "Yeah mine usually is too, doesn't stop you!" She snapped back. He took a deep breath, was he trying to keep his cool? She'd never seen this side of him before. "Trixie please get out."

"No, what happened out there?" He looked up at her now scowling himself, "Out where?" "On the run, why are you back so soon, and so pissy?" His smile wasn't friendly, or reassuring, "Nothing happened on the run, I came back because I was tired and not needed. They are still out there." She stood staring him down, waiting. "And?" His voice elevated, not yet a yell, but it was building, "And nothing Trix, get out." He motioned to the door. She turned and slammed the door shut. His face was a mixture of irritation and confusion. "Ya know, I'm not mad about the other night anymore Kaleb. But what the fuck is your issue?"

The same unfamiliar, troubling smile was still displayed on his face, like when a dog is getting ready to attack. "Why the Doctor, Trix?" Her whole faced furrowed in confusion. He rubbed his thumb and forefinger down the bridge of his nose, closing his eyes. "What about the Doctor?" She asked, her heart thumped in her chest, already knowing. "I'm not dumb Trix. I mean I never was foolish enough to think I was going to be the first, but Jesus, the Doctor?" She felt like she was going to throw up. His eyes opened and looked up at her, his expression wasn't anger, he was trying to pull things together in his head. "All the people here, and it's the fucking Doctor?" She wanted to tell him that she felt the same way, which she didn't even know why. But she didn't
