It had taken time to get the tunnel re-enforced, some of the men in camp had found flexible piping materials that they had fashioned into a syphon to help drain the tunnel. Dove had continued to help even as they dug deeper into the tunnel. Rhett's body was discovered towards the end of the tunnel and brought out to be buried. As they came to the new end of the tunnel, well beyond the inside of the City walls Kaleb was concerned about what they were going to come up into.

"I think it's a better bet to have our supplies ready with our men before we break ground inside of the City, just in case we get spotted." Walter said as he and Kaleb sat in the soft damp earth. Kaleb nodded, his nerves jumped in his gut, "This is really happening. We're really going to do this." He said with a satisfied grin. Walter gave him a friendly slap on the arm, "Yeah we are."

Rhys had not come back to the camp, so Kaleb and Sky took off towards his camp to seek him out. "So, is there a plan Kaleb, or is it just going to be a bumbling smash and grab?" Sky asked puffing on one of his joints. Kaleb thought no matter what they planned they really didn't know what they were walking into once they broke through to the city. For all he knew they would pop up directly under a man with a gun. Pow, story over. "I don't really know, once we break through anything could happen. I'd like to cover our tracks as much as possible and case the City. You know figure out where we need to get the girls. Then get the hell out of there before Rhys' toys blow the clinic sky high." Sky nodded in agreement taking another long puff, "So an organized smash and grab." Kaleb had to laugh at this, true or not.

When they arrived at the other camp it looked strange, people everywhere looked as they were packing up. Coming to Rhys' tent they went inside. "Ah I was getting ready to head your way myself. All done, packing up now." He said with a charismatic smile. Kaleb jutted his thumb towards the door, "What are they doing?" Rhys' eyebrows lifted, "Coming with of course, we all want a chunk of WOLF for ourselves. Did you think your band of merry men were going to get all the fun?" Rhys had made so much of his "toys" that each person leaving the camp had to carry at least one bag basically bursting at the seams with explosives. "Is it safe for them to be jammed into bags like this?" Sky asked eyeing one of the bags. Rhys shrugged his shoulders, "I just make them brother." Sky took another joint out of his breast pocket and lighting it. "God be with us." Kaleb glared back at him, "God left us a long time ago."

"Heard about the tunnel, and Rhett. Very sad." Rhys said in a low tone to Kaleb. Kaleb's jaw tightened remembering the incident, "Yeah unnecessary as well." Rhys studied him for a moment, "You carry a lot of rage man." He said offering the lit joint he had bummed off Sky. Kaleb took it, "Do you blame me?" Rhys shrugged, "You save Walter though, didn't you?" Kaleb passed it back to Rhys, "Yeah, I guess. Doesn't change anything else though, Cicero is a coward." Rhys nodded, "That he is, always has been. But the group listens to him, remember that."

"This is a lot of explosives Rhys." Kaleb said as the group rested. He had been looking over all the bags. "I sure as hell hope so, we had to gut every hardware, gardening, and electronic shop in a fifty-mile radius for the supplies. I hope it's more than we need." Rhys stated. Kaleb hadn't thought about all the work that went into just getting the tools, no wonder it took so long. Rhys also didn't look like he had any fresh injuries to speak of, so that in itself was a good thing he hoped. "Are the men in the tunnel camp ready?" Rhys asked Sky. "They'd better be. Cicero was told to get them ready. He better not fuck that up." Sky huffed; he was still red hot about Cicero's short coming. "We all have our reasons; it shouldn't take much to get them riled up." Rhys chuckled.

Rhys studied Kaleb as they all gathered back up to continue on, "So what's your story Kaleb?" He looked back at Rhys puzzled. "Why are you charging ahead, you're the most focused man on this crusade." Kaleb straightened up, shifting the bags, "My friend is in there." Rhys' face scrunched, "Girlfriend I hope." Kaleb didn't say anything, he lowered his head and kept moving. "All this for one girl, who isn't even yours?" He was sensitive in how he said it, more in an astonished way. "I don't want to talk about it." Kaleb snapped. He didn't feel like that was how it was. She had told him she loved him, that day in the Den before he was shot, and she was taken. He'd like to think, even if she had not told him, he'd still be coming for her. She was his friend after all, a horrible friend. He had risked his own life for Walter, and he hadn't even known that man a year. Lenora's good heart speech stirred in his head, she was right, his damn heart was going to get him killed one day.
