Lucy walked to the parking lot recognizing most faces there. She walked up to one of her old friends:
- Aye, Lucy, nice to meet you, - Joseph dapped up Lucy, - how's Ohio been?
- Ohio? I've been here for the whole time. - Lucy was confused.
- Oh? James told us you moved to Ohio, I was confused you didn't say goodbye.- I'll sort this out.
Lucy walked over to James's car and banged on the roof because James was inside.- Who told you you could return? - James smirked.
- Why did you tell everyone I moved to Ohio? Seems like you were scared of the backlash. Are you scared, James?
- He's not scared, he's just tired of your presence. I don't know why. Godzilla, she seems fine - James's girlfriend got out of the car.
Lin, the girlfriend, was James's second-hand mechanic and the start girl. Lucy's blood started boiling talking to James and Lin.
- Lin, I adore your support but don't call James Godzilla, he's not worth it, - Lucy pointed at Lin, - do you like dressing like this? Have some respect.
- Girl I'm trying to help you, be a little nicer. - Lin chuckled.
- I'm sorry, I'm mad at James, not you.
- What are you two on about? - James put on his leather jacket.
- Oh my God you're as stupid as a coconut, - Lucy started walking away, - you're trash James, and your car is basic as hell. We both know the Skyline r32 is way better than your r34.
Lucy walked up to Joseph and sat down in his car. She told him all about her life on the track and her life with Marshall. People were going out to the street to race one after another.
- you're gonna race? - Lucy asked Joseph.
- Yeah, but I'm one of the last ones on the list.
- I see. I reckon I'll have to go home soon, it's getting pretty late.
- Will the Marshall guy not let you in?
- No idea, I've never returned this late. You know, while riding on the track I kept thinking I missed street racing, but when I came here I realized I didn't miss it one bit...I missed you though.
- Well I'm glad to hear that. You can come and race whenever you want, James won't stop you. I won't let him.
Lucy hugged Joseph and asked for a ride back. She knocked on the door and waited for it to open. After a couple more tries Lucy realized nobody was coming to open it. Lucy walked all around the house but couldn't find an entrance. After twenty minutes she managed to get the garage open. It was a clear way from there. She collapsed on her bed and went to sleep.
- Wake up, we gotta go. - Marshall opened the door to Lucy's room.
- What time is it? - Lucy opened her eyes.
- 5 am, I saw you get back here last night with a guy driving the rx7. Were you hanging with the street racers?
Lucy got up and went to eat breakfast.
- Well I didn't do it on purpose, I was walking back and just noticed some old friends.- Understood. You know, I don't get those guys, just go and race on the real track. It feels like they just want to cause problems for innocent people.
- Well some of us don't have the opportunities that other people get.
- Yeah right. Those bastards just want to be rebels...Sad. See you outside, we need to go.
Lucy finished her breakfast and went outside. From that day on every single was long and difficult. One day after another the race was getting closer.
