- Ready to meet the dirt kings? - Marshall asked Lucy in the car.

- I'm not sure if I'm ready, but I'm excited.

- You should be.

Most of the crew didn't come. The only ones that came to hang out with the dirt kings were Lucy, Keith, Marshall, Howard, and Connor.

- Hello hello, how have y'all been? - A guy in a race suit greeted everyone.

- Max, how you been? We've been extremely good, ready to have some fun.

- In that case, you've come to the right place, - Max looked at Lucy, - I'm Max, I don't think we've met before.

- I'm Lucy, nice to meet you.

- I know you are, I've heard a lot about you. Anyway, let's go meet the boys and we're gonna start having some fun.

Lucy met the other drivers and got in the passenger seat with Max behind the wheel.

- Usually, someone is telling me where the turns are, but we know this track like the back of our palms. Ready to go birdie?

- I'm not sure, but let's go.

The car was shaking from the start. the dirty track had sharp turns, long straights, bumps, jumps, mud, and other challenging terrains. Lucy's heart was pounding with every turn in the forest road, adrenaline levels were rising through the roof with every landing from being airborne.

- WOOHOO, that's the stuff right there. - Max was laughing driving at 100 mph through the forest. - another jump incoming.

After Max stopped at the finish, he had a big smile on his face. Lucy did too.

- Bro, that was incredible, thank you. - Lucy shook Max's hand.

- No problem, that's real racing right there. Wanna give it a shot?

- I don't think so. Don't give the car if you still want to have it tomorrow.

While Max and Lucy were talking, Keith got out of the other car.

- That was just as insane as I remember it. - the floor was swaying from Keith's feet.

Lucy took some slow laps around the challenging track. After getting comfortable she started picking up speed. Turn after turn she was having fun, she wanted more speed but was a little intimidated by the track.

- You know, it's fun and all, but it starts to hurt after about ten minutes. - Lucy got out.

- Well, this is real racing, none of that buttery road tuff. - Max winked.

- You should try going twice the speed on the track, your neck will be gone in a week.

- Can't argue with that.

Once rallying was done, both crews sat down to have dinner. To Lucy, it felt like a family dinner, but in a good way.

- So I was driving through the snow and it got very slippery, obviously. I swerved and just hit a bank of snow. At least that's what I thought. It was ice.

Everyone chuckled as everyone was talking about crashes or other driving fails.

- I failed my driving test five times. - Howard laughed.

- See, that's what I'm telling you, - Max intervened, - your racing is cool, it's very cool, but rallying is the real deal.

- Why don't you come to our track and try to beat our lap record, eh? Beat 00:01:47.

- Well I can't do that, that unfair. I'll come and watch your next race though and you better win.

- We're going somewhere else before Texas.
