Lucy was listening to "The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - Bellbottoms" in the bathroom. After a good thorough shower, she got dressed and prepared herself for the big race. She did a pre-race workout two hours before the start. People were gathering around everyone's cars as per usual. Elliot and Lucy had exchanged some side-eyes, but Lucy wasn't worried about that, she was worried about her racing gloves being missing.

- Have you seen them anywhere? I swear I've looked everywhere and I can't find them. - Lucy asked Keith, who had come in to help.

- Haven't seen them, maybe you just misplaced them?

- Perhaps I did.

While Lucy was running around looking for her gloves, she was interrupted by Lin and a displeased James next to her.

- Well well well, who do we have here. - Lin joked around.

- What a nice surprise, you came here for the race? There are like a million people around the cars.

- No, we came here to see the firework display. - Lin sarcastically answered. - Everyone came to watch, I even brought James along.

- Well, we started together on the streets, so it's only fair for me to be here. How does that Huracan feel? - James asked.

- Feels like the devil is pulling you to the seat.

After Lin and James left Lucy to get ready, Lucy was interrupted again, this time by Max. They had a quick chat and realized the dirt kings also came to watch the race. Lucy just got more and more excited that everyone was there to watch her. In her struggle to find gloves, the commentators were hyping everyone up.

- Hello to everyone joining us for this incredible final race. This is the final race of our 6 race World Challenge America. Go ahead Jeremy and tell us why this race is so exciting.

- Well for starters, three racers can still take the overall first place. Not considering that this is the longest race in the season - 24 hours. In that whole day, I can guarantee that we will see a lot of struggles and success.

Ten minutes before the race, Lucy's gloves were still missing. She had sat down and stopped looking for them.

- Alright, - Howard sat down next to her, - we've been training for a lot, so you should do great. Now, don't forget to avoid the grass. Don't get too comfortable out there.

- Why should I avoid the grass?

- Haven't you heard about probably every racer who went on the grass? Just a tiny part of a single wheel touches the grass and your car loses grip, you lose traction and you fly off into the railing.

- ...Yeah, I'll try to avoid it. Has anyone found my gloves yet?

- Nope, not yet.

With time being of the essence, Lucy was mentally preparing to drive without gloves.

- I can do it without them. - Lucy stood up.

- No you can't, it'll destroy your hands. - Connor stopped her.

Marshall grabbed a nearby wrench and ran off to somewhere without telling anyone where. Lucy heard some glass shatter before Marshall came running back.

- Here, I got you some gloves. - Marshall gave Lucy black gloves.

- ...no, I can't wear these. - Lucy looked at the gloves.

"Carla Morales" was written on the gloves. Lucy recognized the gloves since they were framed in the garage.

- There's no other choice, put them on and get in the car before the race starts. - Howard said.
