- And here we are. - Elliot turned off the car.
Lucy has never been to a big music festival, so without any knowledge of what to do or where to go, she followed Elliot everywhere he went.
Elliot lead her to a crowd of people. They listened to Charlie play, danced around, partied, met new people, and had a day full of music and fun. When the sun had set they gathered on the grass with people they just met a couple of hours ago.
- Wait, you two are both racers? - One of the girls asked.
- Yeah. - Elliot and Lucy said together.
- Well, she's still fresh, her tires aren't even warm yet. - Elliot chuckled.
- I'll have you know, I've been on the road since I could see over the dashboard. I was a street racer.
- Ew. - Elliot pulled a weird face.
- What do you mean ew?
- I just don't particularly like street racers, but you know, people like different things.
- Hell yeah they do. When's the next race? - Lucy asked Elliot.
- Well I don't know if you're coming, but there's a whole championship in Portugal in about two months.
- That means I'm taking you over on that track.
- Well, I'm excited about Portugal, but in six months GT World Challenge America is happening and I will win that if it's the last thing I'll do.
- Not if I'm here too...Or Xander.
- ...Yeah, Xander has a chance.
Elliot started to thinking about something and decided to drive back home. Lucy came with because she was tired of the crowds.
- I hope you had fun. - Elliot drove Lucy home.
- Yeah, definitely, it was fun.
- Great, I don't know when we'll meet again because I need to train. - Elliot was about to leave.
- Yeah, me too. By the way, it kinda seems like you're worried about Xander.
- To be honest, a little bit. He works like a horse, who knows how prepared he'll be for Portugal.
- Well, in that case, you better get to training.
Elliot smiled and drove off. Lucy walked inside and waited for Marshall to come home. She made some dinner right before Marshall walked through the door.
- You need to stop walking in through the garage. - Marshall sat down.
- Well I don't have a key to the door so that's my only route.
- Then come home with me together and you won't have to break in.
- Okay, fine, now eat.
- Fine. We're going to Portugal, by the way. We're gonna work harder because I want you to live up to your potential. - Marshall was enjoying dinner.
- I'll live up to it, don't worry.
- I sure hope so. Go to sleep, I'll clean up.
Lucy went to her room and looked up Elliot online. She didn't find anything particularly interesting, just a bunch of pictures of the dirty blonde brit. Lucy found that Elliot was born in England but moved to the USA when he turned 18.
She woke up with high energy and in a mood to do some racing. Lucy turned on "Where's your head at" by Basement Jaxx and danced around while she was getting ready.
- Ready? - Marshall was standing in the doorway.
Lucy got startled and turned off the music.
- You scared me.
- My bad, ready to go?
- Sure, let's go.
The crew was already talking and chatting before Marshall and Lucy walked in.
- It's a hot day today. - Connor welcomed them through the door.
- Yeah, hopefully, we have the energy to get through the day.
The training started early and both Lucy and Elliot were feeling great on the track.
- Oh, Scotty, - Howard invited Marshall to the side, - those rally guys invited us over to have some fun in a week.
- The dirt kings?
- Yeah, them.
- Hell yeah, we absolutely need to go. We need to take some time off and play in the dirt.
Lucy was driving around the track without a single pit stop. All of a sudden a big pop was heard in the distance, where pit stop eyesight doesn't reach.
