Due to unknown circumstances, the race was delayed for a day, so everyone had a free day to do anything they wanted.

- Any plans for today? - Lucy asked Marshall.

- No, not really, probably gonna relax here with the boys. What are your plans?

- Well to be completely honest I didn't have anything on my mind.

- You have racer friends, don't you? Go have fun, you don't want to hang around middle-aged men, now do you?

- Are you sure we don't need to practice?

- It would be nice, but we can't. Howard and I will check the car for tomorrow, you're free to go. Go have fun.

Lucy wanted to have fun, she just didn't know what to do. While wandering around, she spotted Christian in the distance.

- Hey. - Lucy ran up to him.

- Oh, hey. - He turned around.

- What are your plans for today?

- Probably go to the bar a couple of blocks away, maybe drink a little bit, then come back to my room and watch Netflix.

- Cool, cool. How about we go to the store, buy something to drink and then drink together.

- I mean...Sure, I guess. Why can't we go to the bar?

- I'm eighteen.

- Understood.

Christian and Lucy went to the shop. While Christian was picking out alcohol, Lucy found a pink cowboy hat and immediately bought it. The second they went outside, Lucy looked around and grabbed a bottle.

- Wait at least a little bit, imagine the headlines if someone catches you like this.

- Whatever, let's have fun.

- Yeah, when we get back. I'm not letting you drink right now.

They ran back to Christian's room and started drinking. Lucy got drunk much quicker than Christian, but that was mainly because she was drinking a lot more too.

- And then he gets mad at me, - Christian was telling a story, - he says something about how Nascar is just as exciting. Like what? Oh yeah, I love seeing racers go in a circle for hours. Turn left, now left again, AND WHAT'S NEXT? OH YEAH, ANOTHER LEFT TURN.

- Bro, I completely agree, I don't know how they don't die of boredom there.

- We shouldn't do them like this, racers support racers, right?

- Sure, of course. There are exceptions though. What do you think about electric cars?

- I own a Taycan, I think electrics cars are pretty neat. They're the future.

- But are they fun? An electric car will never beat gas.

- Sure it will. For now, the acceleration is much quicker and it feels incredible, it just needs more total speed. I'm sure that the future will bring us better cars.

- They better have sound, I wanna hear those rumbles.

They turned some music on and started dancing around the room. Venus by Shocking Blue was playing in the room. Lucy felt free and happy, she just wasn't sure if it was because of the alcohol or just a good time.

About thirty minutes later Lucy was in the bathroom staring in the mirror. Christian was hugging the toilet right next to her.

- You know what, my hair is way too long. - Lucy chuckled.

- Then cut it, you moron. - Christian got scissors out of the drawer.

- You make a valid point, colonel Morales. - Lucy grabbed the scissors.

She cut her hair to chin-length without thinking but was happy with the result.

- People should do this more often, just make umm, make decisions with no brain activity.

- With no thinking? - Christian asked.

- Yeah, that's what I wanted to say. I think I'm sobering up, - Lucy's head span, - nope, nevermind.

She put down the scissors because her phone started ringing. Lucy picked up and heard a familiar voice - even though she didn't immediately realize who it was.

- Hey Lucy, I'm just calling to say thank you...I quit. - They said.

- That's great...I'm glad you quit that. - Lucy was trying her best to remember.

- Yeah, the pressure from racing just really wasn't good for me and I guess I hated the whole idea of Formula. Anyway, I have no idea what I'll do now, but yeah. All I know is that I'm happy.

- That's good, that's really great, I'm happy for you too. Listen, man, if you ever need any help from me, call me anytime. Also, come to my race in a couple of weeks, it's gonna be cool.

- Haha, we'll I'll try, it's a long trip from Italy.

It clicked for Lucy.

- From Italy, that's right. Well if you can't make it that's okay, work on yourself okay? ba-bye, keep racing. No, don't, you just quit. - She hung up.

- Was that your boyfriend? - Christian laughed.

- No, I don't have a boyfriend to your knowledge. What about you? Do you have anyone you rail?

- You could've just said date. Yeah, I have someone in my life.

- Tell me about them. - Lucy was sitting on the floor.
