- At Lamborghini we always strive for success. - The CEO was talking standing next to the car. - We always want to go faster, to be more powerful. Every person would like to drive a racecar, but they just aren't available. With this car, we wanted to take the racecar to the street and give every enthusiast out there a racing experience. We would like to announce the newest member of the Huracan family - The Lamborghini Huracan STO 2020.
The cloth was taken off. Everyone started clapping and talking about the car. The lead mechanic kept talking about the car.
- It's really nice. - Marshall looked around.
- Yeah, it's beautiful. - Howard put on his glasses.
With some hanging around and kind regards, the crew left to go back to Michigan. Lucy was worried about Luca and her parents. She called them the second she got back.
- Hey mom, it's been a while.
- It sure has. Tell me about it all, how have you been? What are you doing now?
- I've been great, I've been amazing. I'm racing professionally for this team.
- Are you making good money there?
- Yeah yeah, I'm doing great with money, - Lucy lied, - how are you? How's dad?
- We've also been doing pretty good. Dad has been obsessed with cooking lately, he's just not very good at it.
- I'm sure he'll get better, - Lucy started tearing up, - I'll come to visit you after The America Challenge.
- We'll be waiting.
Lucy hung up and went inside.
- So it turns out I have to pay you. Is 1000 a month good for you? - Marshall asked.
- Yeah, that's good.
- Okay, I need you to sign some papers.
Lucy signed the papers and started getting money from that day on.
One day on the track Lucy was doing some laps when she realized her scores weren't improving.
- I'm really annoyed, I just don't know what to do better.
- Lucy, - Marshall called her over, - come here.
Marshall took Lucy to the leaderboard.
- When you came in you were the slowest here. Now you're faster than Howard, Connor, Zane, and Carson.
- And where are you?
- I'm right behind Carla...Five seconds behind her time.
- You're lacking by quite a lot.
- It's Carla, what do you expect? So you're fourth, Keith is third, I'm second and of course, it goes without mention that Carla has been first for over a decade.
- Right. I'm gonna beat you, just watch.
- I would like to see you try.
Lucy pumped herself up with energy and ran back to the car.
Time was ticking and the GT World Challenge America was coming closer. A couple of days before the first race in Texas, Lucy asked a question she wanted to ask a while ago:
- So, what cars are you covering in the garage? - She asked.
- I knew you'd ask at some point. They're just cars that bring back a lot of memories. If times ever become desperate I can sell them.
- Can I see them?
- Umm, if you want to, sure. - Marshall stood up from the dinner table.
They went to the garage and Marshall unveiled the first car.
- Is that one of the originals? - Lucy didn't expect to see what she saw.
- Yes, it's one of the original Ford GT40's. I drove one for quite some time, there's a picture somewhere of me getting in it. - Marshall opened the door. - If I would sell it, I'd probably make around a million dollars.
- Are you planning to sell it? - Lucy pulled a concerned face. - It's a part of history, don't you dare sell this thing.
- I don't plan to, I like it.
- Okay, what's next? Let's do the one with the large spoiler, that one seems fun. - Lucy was excited.
- Well this one is close to my heart, I rode it in more than any other car I'm pretty sure. This was a beast back in my day. - Marshall took off the cloth.
- Oh wow, a Dodge Daytona. you have a whole museum here. Some people would kill to have these cars. - Lucy touched it.
- Oh trust me, I know. They're rare, but don't get excited for the last one, it's not the same as the others.
- I'm sure it's great. Come on, show me.
- If you say so. - He slowly uncovered the car.
- I assume there's a story that should go with it. - Lucy looked around the car.
- Yeah, it's the Triumph TR3, Carla drove it as her everyday driver.
- Oh...Why? She could've bought a much better car.
- She could've, but she didn't want to. I don't know why she bought it, all I know is that she liked it.
