The crew got to the designated race location a day early. It was an extremely long trip, so Lucy was happy to finally arrive. While everyone was preparing in the pits, the Lamborghini was put on the track and the drivers were ready to learn the track.

Lucy went first. after she returned, the other drivers followed.

- How's the track? - Marshall asked.

- The start is good and then there are sharp turns with low visibility not to mention the twists and turns at the end.

- You'll manage. Let's go to the pits, the others are gonna start showing up.

Lucy went to change and spent the rest of the day meeting different racers. Marshall seemed to know everybody that was coming in.

- Hello, nice to see you, how you been? - Marshall shook hands with another man.

- I've been good, I've been nice, excited for the race tomorrow. A little birdie told me ya got yourself a new driver. Where is he?

- Well, SHE is right here. Lucy, come here for a second. - Marshall called Lucy from afar.

Lucy was a bit nervous, but she pretended to be confident and shook the man's hand.

- Well well well, it's always nice to see some diversity in the sport. I'm Cole, my driver drives that lime Porsche 911 GT3 over there.

- It's beautiful. - Lucy looked at the car.

- Take a good look at it, because you'll only see the back of it on the track. - Cole chuckled.

- Oh don't worry Cole, - Marshall joined in, - we'll see you, we have rearview mirrors.

Lucy felt comfortable between the racers because every person talking to Marshall seemed friendly and nice.

Before going to sleep Lucy wanted to talk to Marshall:

- Hey, I haven't seen you so happy since the day I met you. - Lucy smiled.

- You haven't known me for long. What can I say, I love those guys, they're great. Now go to sleep, you have a very important day tomorrow.

- As if you cared.

- You're right, I don't, but you're not just racing for yourself.

Lucy turned off the light and went to sleep in the other room. She woke up full of energy and got dressed immediately. She was shocked by all the people surrounding every car in the pits.

- I can't breathe in here, there's so many people. - Lucy was sweating in her racing suit.

- Well the people love to see some cars. - Connor was wiping his forehead with a towel.

Marshall was looking around the standing cars fidgeting around with a bolt in his hands.

- Worried about something? - Lucy asked Marshall.

- Maybe. Howard, have we seen that black and white Ford GT before? - Marshall asked.

- That's a big no, they're new. I've heard about them, they have Xander Buckley driving for them.

- That answers your question, - Marshall turned to Lucy, - you should be worried about that Ford.

- Why? - Lucy was confident.

- They have Xander Buckley driving for them. Three times national champion, not to mention his reaction speed.

- I'll do my best to beat him. Anything else you want to tell me?

- Well the others could catch up for your slack, but that orange McLaren 720s right there is a threat. Back in the day, if Carla wasn't driving, he was always in first. Elliot Morgan is the main person behind the wheel - a very talented young British fella. Used to drive in f1, but switched a couple of years ago.

Lucy was happy she was getting valuable information before the start of the race. She got in the car and waited for the race to start.

- First lap is with a safety car, so just take it slow, and warm up the tires. - Marshall was testing the radio.

- Yeah, yeah, I know. - It was getting hot inside the car.

Lucy noticed the start signal and started moving, she started in the middle, because that's where the team was placed from a race earlier.

- Let's go. - Lucy told herself.
