- We're going to Italy. - Marshall said and told everyone to pack up.
- Why? Another race? - Lucy asked.
- No, there will be dinner, a tour around the factory, we're gonna meet some important people. We're part of the Lamborghini team, so we have to visit "home".
Before Lucy could get her things and leave, Elliot came up behind her:
- Hey Lucy, sorry to bother you, just wanted to say you did amazing.
- Well you beat me, so obviously not.
- Oh don't even, you kept up with Xander and even passed me.
- Thanks, I need to go.
- Yeah, umm, bye for now, see you sometime later.
- Yep. - Lucy ran out to catch up with others.
The trip to Italy was quick and comfortable. Howard, Connor, Marshall, and Lucy got driven to the headquarters.
- Oh momma, this is beautiful. - Lucy saw the huge building in front of her.
- Oh yeah, that's Italian. - Howard chuckled.
A young man, a young woman, and a middle-aged man waiting for them at the front entrance.
- Buongiorno. - Everyone shook hands.
All three people had thick Italian accents.
- Nice to meet you, I'm Luca. - the young adult shook hands with Lucy.
- I'm Lucy. - She smiled.
- Similar name. What's your last name?
- Green, what about you?
- I don't like saying my last name, I don't like it.
Lucy wanted to continue talking to Luca, but the girl introduced herself next:
- Romina Ricci, you don't have to introduce yourself, I know you.
- Well then good. - Lucy smiled.
The middle-aged man didn't introduce himself, so when everyone was going inside, Lucy whispered a question to Connor:
- Hey, who's the man?
- Are you serious? That's Stefano Domenicali, the CEO of Lamborghini.
- Oh, really? That's embarrassing.
- Thank god you whispered the question.
The Italians were showing Lucy and the crew around the headquarters:
- Here we have a ton of color and many choices where you can make your Lamborghini unique. And here is where the magic happens.
People were slowly putting together new Lamborghinis throughout the day. The CEO invited the crew to have dinner.
- Want to skip dinner for some riding? - Luca smile.
- Umm, sure. - Lucy looked at Marshall.
Marshall took a second and winked at Lucy as a sign of agreement.
She and the two Italian racers left others having dinner to have some fun.
- Oo, what's here? - Lucy noticed a covered car in the big showroom.
- That's for later tonight, we will announce machine. - Romina rushed Lucy out.
The three racers got outside, where three Lamborghini Aventador's were parked.
- I'm taking yellow. - Romina ran to her car.
- Silver is mine then. - Luca opened his car door.
Lucy had to drive the last silver Aventador. She had never driven a real luxury car on the real open road. Not missing a beat, Luca was leading the way in top speeds. The road was an open village road, the place where every Lamborghini is tested. The people living there were used to the sounds of supercars driving by. Luca drove to a nice place with an open night sky. He sat on top of his car and lit a joint.
- You smoke weed? - Luca asked Lucy.
- No, not really, I've been kinda brought up to not do that stuff.
- I wish I was brought up the same way too.
- Why don't you quit then? - Lucy sat next to him.
- He's scared of reality. - Romina joined.
- I wanna quit so bad, but it's scary. I quit school and told parents I was going to be big race star.
- Then quit. - To Lucy, the answer seemed obvious.
- His family would hate it. What about your family, how's your family? - Romina asked.
- Well, - Lucy started thinking about what to say, - I lived with my mom and dad in Montana. My mom works in a bakery and my dad was a fighter jet pilot for the longest time. He had a little accident and is now just a little disabled. When I was sixteen I moved alone and bought my first car...It all went from there. Where do you guys drive?
- I drive Formula E, but not for Lamborghini, I'm just partner. - Romina laid on her back on Luca's car.
- Same, but I drive Formula 1, real racing.
- Formula E is more fun and better. - Romina was defending her sport.
- Why would you want to quit driving in Formula? - Lucy was trying to understand Luca.
- I'm tired of it. Fast speeds, constant stress. People always expect me to do amazing, even my last name says that, but I can't. I can't quit because I told my parents I wouldn't. I want to though.
- Sometimes you just have to do it. Now you're just digging yourself a hole with all this weed and you already know you'll quit. So quit with glory or get kicked out due to weed.
- I'll fail the drug test, I'm done, that doesn't sound too bad. - Luca finished his joint and got back in the car. - Let's go, we're gonna miss the reveal.
