(If there's ever some sentence or something in this book [here I forgot to add: that doesn't make sense] it's probably cause of my wack ass keyboard, I'm in a hurry to get down all these ideas or I'm typing out what I was hearing instead of what I was thinking on accident. Sorry friends! Also, thank you all for the love you show me here and on Instagram! 💖💖💖🥺 AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 10.2K! This chapter isn't good enough to celebrate this achievement...SORRY!)

It did not work. Not at all.

"Huh?! Kitty!" I cheered and ran off again.

"YN, stop! You're acting like a five year old!" Gun shouted and hurried after me.

THAT'S THE POINT!

The cat ran away and jumped into a bush. Gun grabbed my wrist and I pouted.

"It got away." I sighed.

"Yeah, that's what happens when you chase something. Now stop getting distracted."

"I'm still running though!"

He opened his mouth but then closed it again as if caught off guard by the response actually making sence.

"Let's just walk the rest."

"YN."

"Yes Gunny Gun Bun Bun?"

"It's only been 15 minutes."

"Great, only." I stopped, took out my phone and used my calculator. "45 more minutes to go!"

"Why did you need a calculator for that?"

"Anyways!" I turned and began to jog away.

"You use to be in track and stuff, weren't you?"

"Yeah, ages ago!"

"You were fine last time."

"Last time you didn't make me kick and punch for hours!"

He chuckled and I huffed.

I wonder what Jake is doing right now...is he thinking of me? Probably not, he's a busy guy. He has to keep the respect he has now. He's changing, and I don't like that. I'd like to blame Gun fully for it. He is the one that sent him to prison after all. But I know I have to hold Jake accountable for his own actions as well.

I told him multiple times not to work for Gun. I never actually met or seen him before the fair, but I knew about him. I don't like using The New Group to look people up so I didn't know how bad he actually was.

But I knew he was bad news.

I told Jake, don't work for him, I told him he was going to get in trouble because of him. I told him I didn't like this whole successor thing and he would probably end up failing for the dumbest reason.

When I found out he was doing illegal gambling, I went off on him. I had already broken up with him by then, but I reminded him that he, 1) was breaking the rules and Gun would find out sooner or later.

2) He was becoming a gangster which is something that he never wanted. He had crossed the line with these scams.

I can't keep being so close to Gun.

He might start thinking we're friends.

-3rd person's POV-

The young girl and boy ran next to each other in silence. Gun kept on glancing down at the short female. She seemed to be deep in thought. She looked a little troubled but he was to scared to ask.
