Time skip : a week later

I peeked my head around the door , curiously looking left then right . Assuming I was safe , I stepped out into the hallway to confirm my suspicion . That's when I noticed the person at the end of the hall . Going back in the classroom wasn't an option . Should I run for it or accept my fate .

" Hey ash , found you " I swallowed aggressively and without thinking spoke my mind " shit " After my shocked whisper of a reply I started to run down the hall away from the spiky haired volleyball player .

Spending almost the whole day hiding from someone may seem weird . But in my opinion it's the only thing you can do when you've got some over friendly , friend of your cousins wanting to talk to you all the time and become best buddies . It's almost like something that would happen in a horror movie . So what can i say i'm now running for my freedom .

As I ran around the corner I almost fell over , but I did bump into my cousin . Who as usual was playing on his phone " oh hey Ash , what's up " I gave a confused expression to my cousin . He was clearly too interested in his game . That's when Kuroo marched around the corner and I ran into the nearest classroom . Although they were on the other side of the door I could still hear Kenma and Kuroo's conversation . " kenma have you seen Ash " My cousin shook his head still while playing his game . " I found that new pokemon Kuroo , and it looks just like you " Kenma's lazy tone as he continued playing his game , caused me to struggle to keep my laughter in . Kuroo replied with an excited tone though " wait really " Then he walked over to my cousin and looked over his shoulder so he could see the thing in question .

That's when the bell rang , signaling my freedom . Which made me jump , which resulted in me accidentally kicking a table . Then that led to Kuroo releasing I was in here . So I dived for the door like my life depended on it . When Kuroo tried to open the door I held it shut from the other side . " Hey Ash , are you in there " I swallowed nervously and replied with regret " nope " My voice had a hint of hope in it . " common , Ash i know that's you " Opening the door slowly i slightly smiled .

Time skip : on the way home

The rest of day went by really quick . Before I knew it the bell had rang saying that it was the end of the day . But my exietment faded when I realised I now had to sit through an hour of Volleyball practice . Although I wasn't on the team , I endured the torture just because I didn't want to walk home alone .

I pulled my earphones out of my pocket and connected them to my phone . As I was putting them in my ears I walked into the gym . To see none of the team had arrived . Except the captain . When I first met Kuroo I didn't realise that he was the captain of the team . After attending multiple practice sessions I figured that out . I've also begun to understand his personality a little .

The spiky hair captain tossed a ball in the air and smashed his hand into it , sending it flying over the net . Once he realised I was watching , Kuroo smiled and waved at me from across the room . I sighed loudly then went to sit down at the side of the room .

After a minutes of playing on my phone I noticed someone sit down next to me . I rolled my eyes to my right and saw Kuroo sat next to me smiling again . Right now I was feeling as though I could cope with him being annoying so I took one of my earphones out . " whatcha listening to " After showing him my phone he frowned " who are they? " Giving him an annoyed look i continued with playing my game . But when I reached my hand to my lap to try and find the other earphone it wasn't there . While taking a deep breath I looked at Kuroo who was holding his hand on his chin " I think I've heard this song before somewhere " In his ear was my other earphone .

When the song ended Kuroo handed me the earphone back . Then he jumped up and ran of to continue practicing before the rest of the team arrive .

"Hey what's up captin " The guy with brown and blond hair nodded to Kuroo as he walked into the gym . Followed by the rest of the team trailing in behind , greeting their captain in their own individual ways . The last person to wander in was my cousin who was playing on his phone .

I didn't bother putting my other earphone in for the rest of the practice session . But I did try to continue playing the game on my phone . Until Kuroo called out to me " hey Ash do you wanna lend us a hand " After shrugging , I stood up and started walking over to where the team was gathered .

Kuroo was explaining something to the team as I wandered over . " So today we're gonna practise our quick attacks , I feel as though they could be a little better " . After smiling at me he nodded to a volleyball that was on the floor . He then stepped back and the team qued up . One at a time I threw the balls up and the team members swung their arms smashing it over the net . Even Kenma , it surprised me that he had actually stopped playing on his phone . But I suppose volleyball is as important to him as his phone .

When the end of the practice session appeared I looked as tired as the other boys . I was leaning over with my hands on my knees , breathing heavily . Even Kuroo looked slightly worn out but he was still walking around and packing up quickly . Unlike the rest of the team .

The team continued to tidy up as I walked over to get my phone and bag . It's not that I didn't trust anyone I just didn't like leaving my stuff unattended for too long .
" Well you look shattered " Glancing behind me I saw Kuroo stood with one hand on his hip while the other wipped sweat of his head . I nodded slowly . Something was different about kuroo . He actually seemed to kinda be giving me space . Or it might just be I've got used to him acting the way he does .

After picking up their bags the boys except Kuroo , Kenma and I left the gym . " you ready to go Ash " I turned to look at my cousin and nodded . On my way out the gym I couldn't help but turn around to see Kuroo whatching with a smile on his face . That's when I convinced my self to speak to him " see you Monday " Kuroo laughed and waved .

I was on the way out of the school gate with my cousin when my phone buzzed . After checking it I smiled to myself . It was Rel . She had finally replied .
