chapter 17

Kuroo's pov

Ten days till the game and five days till the funeral of Ash’s parents . I haven’t spoken to Ash since Saturday but I somehow know if something's up he will let me know . Even if he doesn’t tell me exactly what’s wrong .

After spending the weekend at the hospital I finally went home . Although my dad has to stay there for a couple more days . But I spoke to the doctor before I left and he said that my father was getting better . So hopefully my dad will be out of the hospital in time to see the game .

I had just finished putting my school trousers on when Ash sent me a message . So I sat down on my bed and replied to his message .

Ash : just out of curiosity , y did u have 2 leave town friday

Kuroo : it was just some family issues

Although I lied to him , I know it was better than telling him what actually happened . Is not like I was completely lying to him anyway . I was just withholding some of the truth from him . To protect him .

Then I put my phone down on my bed next to me and grabbed my shirt . After sliding my arms through the material , I wrapped it around my chest and started to do the buttons up . Once I had finished getting dressed I walked over to the mirror I had in my room and smiled to my reflection .

Next i picked up my bag and phone then left to head off to school . On the way I met up with Kenma and to my surprise Ash . He was listening to music through his earphones . While nodding along with the tune .

" Hey Ashie " I ran up to Ash and gave him a tight hug . He seemed shocked as he looked up at me . But I just smiled at him and laughed . Then we all walk to the train station together .

During the train ride I walked over to where Ash was sitting . Then sat down next to him . So he looked up at me and gave me a weak smile . Which is when he smiled back and i wrapped an arm around his shoulders . He didn’t even react as i did so .

The train then slowed down and stopped at the station that we usually get off at to go to school . I stood up before Ash did and I reached my hand out to him . He accepted and I pulled him towards me . Which helped him stand up . Then we both walked off the train holding hands .

All the way to the school gates we held hands . Even Though everyone who looked at us seemed to be either jealous or thought that us being together was weird . But this was the first day we have been walking around holding hands . So that’s understandable that people would have to get used to us being a thing .

Time skip : At the gym
Ash’s pov

Me and Kuroo were still holding hands as we walked into the gym . Most of the team was already here . So some of them looked confused when me and the captain walked in holding hands .

“ Hey captain , you feeling any better today “ Kuroo looked at Yamamoto unsure of what he meant until Kai reassured him ” you went home early because you didn’t feel well “ Then he raised an eyebrow to say he didn’t believe his friend's excuse . kuroo then nodded and replied “ oh ye , i’m feeling much better now “ . After thinking of an excuse he started laughing .

Then Yaku said the one thing I hadn't thought about how I was gonna explain . “ So are you and Ash a thing then?  Once the team's blond haired libero had spoken I  started to blush and hid my face in kuroo's shirt . Although I probably looked cute as he squished his face against my chest to try and hide from everyone's view .

As he began to reply i lifted my head slightly so i could look him in the eyes . Just as I started speaking he grabbed hold of one of my hands and I smiled at him . “ Yep , we are “ Then Kai interrupted “ sorry i hate to be the brutally honest one but weve gotta train “ All of us in the room agreed and started training .

Time skip : Later that day , lunch time
Ash’s pov

I laid my head down on the table in front of me in defeat . “ I just can’t do it “ As I mumbled out my response Kuroo rubbed a hand over my back . “ that’s why i’m gonna help you Ashie “

It was lunchtime and the last lesson I had was math . The math homework was similar to what I had previously been doing in the class . But i still didn’t understand it . Kuroo was trying to help me understand it . No matter what he tried I still didn’t understand it .

“ What’s the point “ I slammed my hands down on the table and stood up quickly . Then I stomped out the cafeteria . After glancing over my shoulder I noticed Kuroo following behind me . The rest of the volleyball team watched concerned for me .

I didn’t get far across the yard before Kuroo wrapped his arms around me to stop me from walking .” Ashie , it’s alright we can take a break if you want “ Next thing , I'm getting this intense urge to kiss Kuroo . But being at school kinda complicates things . Resisting temptation was harder than it seemed . So before I registered what I'm doing , I'm grabbing his color and tugging him towards  me . Then I firmly pressed my lips against his .

The spiky haired captain smiled back and started moving lips in sync with mine . Although we were in the middle of school I didn't care what others were saying or thought . Not even Kuroo seemed to worry about anything else .

As kuroo started moving his lips quicker he brought a hand to the back of my head . Then he began to nibble on my bottom lip and I started moaning against his lips . Until he poked his tounge inside my mouth . Which made me gasp into his mouth .    

Wich is when he laughed and pulled back from the embrace . " You wanna ditch the others and have some fun " I started blushing when he winked at me . After he finished speaking .

I just nod and Kuroo grabs one of my hands and starts running towards one the school buildings . 

Once we arrived I realised that we were at the gym .  Then Kuroo stepped around me and placed his hands on my shoulders . " We've probably only got like five minutes " I nodded in response and we walked through the gym to the changing room .

When we reached the door separating the changing room and the gym Kuroo brought his hands to my cheeks . Then started passionately kissing me again . Wich caused us to fall into the room . But Kuroo caught me in his strong arms and stopped me from falling on the floor .

" Ashie , are you alright " I nodded and he started kissing me again . So I responded with similar actions . Somehow we wandered over to one of the benches at the side of the room . Still having our lips connected . Wich seemed impossible in my head , but somehow we managed it with out falling over .

I sat down on the bench as Kuroo walked a step closer to me and leaned down . So his lips could meet with mine again . Then we continued to move out lips against each others at an unavailably fast paced .

Until I reached a hand up and wrapped it over kuroo's shoulder . But that's when he smiled against my lips . Then he moved his arms to eather side of my waist and lifted me up effortlessly . As if I was nothing more than a tedy bear . So I wrapped my legs around his waist and he laughed as he backed me up against the wall .

Then with my back against the wall , Kuroo started kissing me more enthusiastically . I tried my best to keep up with his fast paced but was struggling . So he began leaving a slobbery trail down from my lips to the bottom of my neck . Wich is where he started nibbling my skin and I let out a loud sigh .

But then the door that lead to the changing room slammed open . " Oh shit , s... sorry captain " After stuttering out a response to what he saw Yamamoto walked back out of the room while blushing .

Me and Kuroo stood in silence looking at the closed door . Until Kuroo began to laugh . First it was quiet then it got louder . So I frowned at him and playfully slapped his arm . " It... it's not ...f... funny " But Kuroo just continued laughing .
