chapter 11

As I walked away from Ash . I start to walk quicker , until I was running . ' I shouldn't be like this , it could ruin my friendship with his cousin ' No matter what I did for the rest of the jerony home I couldn't seem to stop thinking about him . The quiet , damaged , new kid . There was something about him .

Once I got home I opened the door to find my house was silent . So I knew my dad had probably went out . But that didn't seem to bother me as I climbed up the stairs then went to my room .

I spent what seemed like rest of the evening thinking if I should send Ash a message . If so what I should send . Until I fell asleep .

Time skip : in the morning
Kuroo's pov 

" Tetsuro ! Get your lazy ass out of bed or your gonna be late "  I groaned in response . Then my dad walked into my room " Five more minutes please " I mumbled half asleep . The older figure in the room shock his head , grabbed ahold of my duvet and tugged it away from me . So i held on tight to the piece of material and end up falling on the floor . 

My dad was stood looking down at me with a stubborn expression on his face . I was led on the floor hugging the peice of material he had attempted to tugged away from my grasp . That's when my dad looked at my phone wich was on my bed " who's Ash then " I couldn't seem to form an answer and just kept on moving my lips , shocked at the fact my father was asking me this .

After a very intense stairing match with my dad I finally agreed to get ready for school . So I got up of the floor and started to get dressed .

While getting dressed I couldn't help but think about my predicament with my friend and his cousin . I know Ash probably thinks of me as annoying but I think I really like him . But I don't want things to be weird between me and Kenma .

Time skip : 10 minutes later

After rushing around for the last couple of minutes I ran out the door . To see Ash and Kenma already starting to walk down the path towards the train station .

So as usual I jogged up to them and greeted them . " Hey guys what's up " Kenma looked up for a second before replying " shoyu wouldn't stop talking yesterday , I'm tired " A laugh escaped from my throat " that kid is always full of energy " Ash was walking quietly next to Kenma . He hadn't said a word since yesterday .

The day was the same as any other . Each lesson was just as boring as the last . Before I knew it , I was walking to the spot where i usay meet the rest of the team for lunch .

As I walked around the corner I saw the team sit where they usually sit . But my face dropped when I noticed Ash wasn’t there although Kenma was . I immediately started thinking the worst possible thing could have happened .

Ash’s pov

Lunch time , and after yesterday I don’t wanna be near Kuroo unless I have to . So I'm now sat inside in the cafeteria Because i know the team never hangs out here when the weathers nice .

As I sat down at an empty table I sighed after noticing a group of girls chatting and walking over to me . “ you're Ash right “ I turned to see the girls stood in front of me . Then i noded in response and they continued to ask me questions . “ is Kenma really your cousin “ .  After a girl with blond hair asked me about Kenma they all decided to sit down at the table . Even Though they hadn’t asked me if i was alright with it .

“ you're cute aren't you ? After getting asked the question I didn't have time to respond before the other girls all agreed with each other .    

The rest of lunch passed and by the end I was just about to get up and leave . Due to how much the girls were annoying me . But then the bell rang .

Next lesson Lev was in the same class as me . So I somehow knew he would want to ask me a ton of questions .

" Ash where were you at lunch " Behind me stood with his arms crossed over his chest was Lev . I sighed and shrugged not wanting to answer him . " Common you can tell me if anything's up , I'm here for you " After ignoring what he said I continued to walk Into the classroom .

Time skip after school before practice Ash's pov

As much I didn't want to got to practice . I knew I had to because I didn't want to walk home alone . So I decided to sit outside the gym . But so Kenma didn't worry about where I was I sent him a text message .

Ash : I'm sat outside the gym

Once I had sent the message I put my earphones in and sat down on a bench outside the gym . I then started playing a game on my phone till the end of practice .

Kenma's pov

I had just put my phone down and ran over to where the team was gathered . Kuroo was explaining what we were gonna do today during practice . He seemed to be looking around the room for some strange reason . Before I put my phone down Ash texted me saying he was gonna wait outside today . I didn’t think it was too weird until I noticed Kuroo start looking around the room .

Once the team had finished the practice session we all walked over to get our bags . All while Kuroo walks about picking up stray volleyballs with a gloomy expression on his face . It was almost as if he had lost what happiness he had . 

I waited for Kuroo to finish packing up the equipment before we walked out of the gym together . To see Ash sat outside on a bench .

After we took a step outside the building, Kuroo's hyper expression re appeared . But I barely noticed it because I was playing Pokemon go on my phone . As my cousin looked up to me his neutral expression became worried when he saw who was standing next to me .
