I woke up to someone kissing me. It was Damba. I'd even forgotten that I was in Abuja with him. I was in somewhere different in my sleep and now, waking up to someone I had sex with the day before, kissing me was a different kind of joy.

"What are you doing?" I feigned ignorance. I have to be a special lady in his eyes. Not someone that will rush to him and let him have things easily.

"Waking you up."

"I'm awake now, thank you." I was happy to have a special and unique person. Normal people tap you to wake you up, but this one kisses me.

"I can see that." He got out of bed and veered towards the bathroom.

I stared at his naked self and quickly took my eyes off him.

"Never seen a naked man before?" How did he see me?

"I have seen this one and even slept with him."

He laughed and walked into the bathroom.

We've both had our baths and dressed, cuddling up in each other's arms on the bed.

"Thank you." Damba said after a while.

"For?"

"Sleeping with me and not avoiding me after last night."

I giggled. "Thank you too."

He raised a brow.

"For proving to be a better man than the others."

"Who are the others?" He tore apart.

"What?" I had a confused look on. "Shey you don't hear stories of other people ni?"

"Oh." He sighed. "Thank you for saying that. I thought it was..."

"You think I'm involved with other men?"

"What? No, I..." He sighed. "It's nothing. Just don't share me with anyone."

"So far we're together, there's nothing to..."

I cut myself off. Damba's face drew closer to kiss me but we got interrupted.

Knock! Knock!! Knock!!!

"Who is it?" We both said in unison and laughed.

"Room service!" A female voice called out.

"Ki le fe?" What do you want? Damba asked.

"Cleaning."

Damba looked around the room. It actually needed cleaning.

I got up and opened the door for her. "Good morning."

"Good morning ma. Good morning sir." She genuflected a bit. She seemed to be a very young girl, probably a part-timer in the hotel.

"Good morning." Damba smiled at her.

I sat down on the couch and buried myself in my phone.

After a while, I wanted to steal a glance of my handsome boyfriend. I expected him to stare back for some reason. He wasn't staring at me nor his phone which were in his hands so I traced his gaze to the girl. My heart sank. He was staring at her butt!

Her back was turned to him while she cleaned, she was making some discreet movements, maybe she's not a good cleaner but I didn't care. Why was Damba staring at her?

Damba raised his head so I quickly looked down at my phone. I didn't care if he saw me or not. I was just staring at the girl with the corner of my eyes. This girl get yansh. So that's why.

As if my disturbing thoughts were not enough, Damba had the guts to go after her after she left our room! He was probably going to sleep with her and use her. I might have been a tool he used and was about to be tossed. I need to do something before that. I have to talk to someone and get advice before I do anything in a haste.

*

I was sitted in the hotel reception, wearing the dark glasses Damba bought me so as to protect my eyes which were swollen from crying. I was waiting for Folake to arrive. I had called her and told her how Damba used me and she asked to meet at the reception.

I was burying my face in my phone as I was tired of wiping off every tear that trickled down my cheek.

"Adeola?"

I looked up to see Folake and her husband. I couldn't even complain about her husband being with her, I just threw my arms around her.

"Oh, my dear." She patted me.

I tried very hard not to burst into tears especially in front of her husband.

We broke the hug and she looked at me.

"You look catchy today." Folake winked.

"Folake." I sighed.

"Oh, C'mon. I was just trying to cheer you up." Folake smiled. "And take those shades off, they don't suit your dressing."

"No, I'm fine. Can we talk now?"

"Not until I remove..." Folake took off the glasses and gasped after seeing my face. "Wow! Is it that serious?"

"Folake?" Her husband cautioned her.

"Sorry. Tayo, you know I'm trying to..."

"He went with the cleaner." I blurted out to keep her from talking.

"What?! Not even a cook or...?" She saw the stern look on my face and sighed. "I'm sorry."

I shook my head. "He's been out for hours and..."

"Do you think he abandoned you?" Tayo asked.

I swallowed hard.

"Tayo, don't do that." Folake smiled. "Sweetheart, I've seen- what's his name?"

"Damba."

"Yes. I've seen him and I know he genuinely loves you."

"You can't be so sure." I shrugged.

"I am experienced."

"By two years." Tayo gave her a look.

"We aren't dealing with a marriage saga here." Folake smiled. "That's more than two years."

"So what should I do about Damba?" I asked.

"Wait for his return." Tayo said.

"And what if he doesn't?"

"Sweetheart, what if he does?" Folake asked.

"What would I do about the fact that he is sleeping with the...?"

"How sure are you?" Folake asked.

"He was staring at her with lust in his eyes."

"And how does lust look like in one's eyes?" Tayo's question got me speechless.

"My dear, go and rest." Tayo looked unbothered. "You're just worrying for no reason."

"That's women for you. We worry a lot." Folake winked at me.

I looked down at my fingers which I was subconsciously playing with.

"Okay." Folake sighed. "I know I don't seem to care, but I do. It's just that Damba isn't what you portray him to be."

I shrugged. "I don't know, I just..."

"Adeola!"

We all turned around to see Damba panting. He must have looked everywhere for me.
