It was 8 p.m. I was perspiring and panicking. I wasn't in a good condition. According to my dream, something bad happened at 8 p.m. Maybe something bad is about to happen now.

No, I have to be positive. I don't know if Damba is in trouble or not. You're the one in trouble. You've been ditched.

I knelt beside my bed and started praying for the first time since I came to Abuja. I was very scared and indebted to God too. Because of Damba, I couldn't even call myself a Christian. I used to be devoted to God, nothing distracted me, not even school stress but Damba managed to, effortlessly.

I prayed for 2 hours before I finally decided to talk to Folake and Tayo.

"What if he passed out at their place and he'd arrive by morning?" Tayo asked. I liked that he was optimistic but this isn't the time for it.

"Are you deaf ni? I just narrated my dream to you!" I yelled.

"So you think I'm deaf just because I chose to ignore the dream you claim to have had." Tayo sighed.

"No, I'm sorry. I'm just..."

"It's fine. I understand your situation." Tayo smiled.

"So you think he is with that cleaner right now?" Folake asked.

I nodded.

"Woman! Stop putting wrong ideas in her head." Tayo hissed.

"I'm not. She told us the dream herself." Folake shrugged.

"Not like nightmares become reality." Tayo looked away.

"Mine does." I sighed.

"How'd you know that?" Folake and Tayo asked.

"I used to be a devoted Christian, I lost my way and..."

"What do you mean by you lost your way? Falling in love isn't going astray or is it?" Folake turned to Tayo who shook his head.

"I didn't pray since I've been here."

"Nonsense! I don't pray too and things have been working well for us both." Folake grinned.

"Are you an atheist?" I asked.

"What? No." Folake shook her head.

"Then somebody is probably praying for you." I looked down.

"So you're saying you have visions?" Tayo was about to burst into laughter.

"Not exactly visions but I foresee things a little."

"It is still vision!" Tayo and Folake burst into laughter.

"Okay." I sighed. "What should I do about Damba?"

"Just be patient. Wait, till tomorrow." Tayo smiled. "You're worrying for just no reason."

"What if she should just call him and see if...?" Folake suggested.

"How many calls in one day? Eyin obirin sha." You women. Tayo sighed. "If he becomes sober by tomorrow and he sees your missed calls, I'm sure he wouldn't view you the same way again. He could view you as a pest."

"I remember the day you didn't come home after you promised to take me out for dinner." Folake laughed. "That day was not funny at all. I sent over 20 missed calls and 15 texts."

"You even threatened to kill yourself." Tayo laughed. "I was shocked the next day when I saw everything."

"I didn't care whether you met with your boys or not. The fact is, you stood me up." Folake said and they both laughed.

I understood that they were trying to cheer me up but they were not helping. I forced a smile and grinned at them. They relaxed a bit, thinking they've helped me. I was helpless at that moment, if I had that dream, then something is definitely not right and God might be trying to tell me something. I'd wait one day and if Damba shows up, he's the one for me. If not, the dream would serve as God's message to me.
