Seyi came over few days later and he was interested in knowing about Damba so I told him everything I knew. He was somewhat annoyed that I didn't even know his real name but he let it pass. He asked about his family but my mind went blank. I knew nothing.
"Okay. Pictures?"
"Why?"
"If you'd put the same energy in asking him more questions like you're doing now, you wouldn't be where you are today."
I sighed. "So you want me to dig up his photos?"
"You buried them somewhere?"
I had hidden all his pictures in an album. They brought me pain and anguish anytime I randomly see them.
I took out my phone and handed it over to him. "Just tap on hidden albums and you'd see him there."
"You don't want to look at him?"
I shook my head. "No."
"Why?"
"I remember every moment we shared when I thought we were going to be together."
"Oh okay." Seyi tapped on the phone. "Hidden albums right?"
"Yes." I nodded.
Seyi opened the album and he exclaimed. "Femi?"
"Who is Femi? I'm talking about Damba." I sighed. "Or is there a picture he took with a certain Femi?"
He showed me a picture of Damba alone. "This is Damba?"
My heart was beating faster now. "Y-Yes."
"God! No!" Seyi threw the phone.
"Seyi. Why did you throw it? I don't have money to get another..." I hate that I was too calm.
"Sorry. I'll replace it." He tried to be calm.
"Our pictures are there!" I yelled.
"I don't care about the bloody pictures and if you do, you can get them back from cloud." He hissed.
"What's gotten into you?" I asked, confused.
"You're sure that's Damba?" He picked up the phone and showed me. The screen was already cracked and the system of the phone was a little destroyed but I could still see Damba's beautiful eyes and his hands too.
"Yes. What's going on?"
"That's Femi Lawal!"
"So you know Damba?" My eyes lit up.
"I don't know him as Damba but Femi Lawal."
"So why are you angry?"
"He is my Rival in business!"
"You mean to say Damba is a business man?"
"Don't call him Damba! Femi had his way in everything and now without being here or having to do anything, you're still in love with him after all you've been through!"
"I don't get it."
"I have feelings for you Adeola and I've been trying to make you see that for a quite a while now."
I was dumb struck. Damba wasn't a Yahoo boy but a business man who impregnated me and ran off. He had money and everything he needed to look for me but he didn't. He could find me easily. And there was Seyi who I don't feel attracted to but is a Rival to the love of my life, actually falling for me.
Seyi was short tempered. He left immediately he confessed his love for me.
God used Seyi to open a new path for me. Now, I'm going to find Damba at all costs.

Seyi replaced my phone and I was grateful for it. It was bigger and better than the one I actually had. I got almost all my files back from cloud but I couldn't get the photos of Damba and the memories we shared in Abuja drowned.
I decided to contact the only male friend I knew would help me. Tola.
I tried calling his number but it wouldn't go through. I called a few more times and it went straight to voicemail. My mind started racing. I needed to reach Tola. He probably had another number that I must get to.
I opened the NYSC WhatsApp group chat and asked for his number. Remi was there to tackle and call me names for falling pregnant with Damba's child but her plan back fired. She wasn't supported like the University group chat where they joined hands with her to insult me.
She was called an hypocrite here and turns out Tola dumped her because of her extravagant lifestyle and cheating on him to gain money from guys. She happened to have aborted few babies and I was shocked to hear this. She really was an hypocrite. We were no different just that I was a little better.
I finally got Tola's number but it was an international one. Tola had left the country and planned to go with Remi before he found out what a nasty person she was.
I didn't have enough airtime to make an international call so I left it for a while. I wanted to save enough money to buy airtime for that call but Seyi came to my rescue. He got me airtime worth of 5, 000 naira. I told him he didn't have to but he regarded it as "Chicken change"
I called Tola and asked for his help. He told me he knew some of Damba's friends and that they probably knew his Family members. Tola apologized on Damba's behalf for my condition. He put me on a hold for days and promised to get back to me.
I was scared and prayerful. I needed my child to have a Father. And if the Father doesn't want me in his life, I'd have to give birth to the child and dump it with Damba except I became too attached to the child.
