We both met with Folake and Tayo at the hotel restaurant upon Folake's request.
"Oh, my cute little love-sick baby." Folake pulled my cheek.
I smiled. "Thank you."
"Nonsense! What are friends for?" Folake turned to Damba. "You made my girl cry so much. Why'd you do that?"
"I..." Damba tried to speak.
"Why'd you bring a girl to an hotel and chase after another? It's not done bro." Tayo shook his head.
"No, there's been a misunderstanding." Damba bowed his head.
"A misunderstanding that almost cost your babe her pretty face." Folake turned to me. "She cried her eyes out."
"I know and I'm sorry."
I nodded.
"What'd you do that for?" Tayo asked.
"I went after the cleaner for..."
"So she was right?" Folake questioned.
"No!" Damba sighed. "She stole my watch."
"Who? Adeola?" Tayo stared at me.
"No! Why would I...?" I shook my head.
"The cleaner took it and I went after her to..."
"You went for hours! You didn't care about your babe." Folake hissed.
Damba sighed. No one seemed to understand not even me.
"It's more than just the watch right?" Tayo asked.
Damba gave him a thankful look. "Yes!"
"I see."
He stretched out his hand and we all stared at it.
"An ancient watch." Folake commented.
"It's beautiful." I smiled.
"Thank you." Damba grinned. "It's my Father's. His father passed it down to him."
"Wow!" Tayo tapped the watch. "Made of pure gold."
"Must be very expensive." Folake said.
"Now, it all makes sense why you ran after her." Tayo said.
"Why did you take long?" I asked.
"I lost her on the way." Damba sighed.
"And?"
"I found her at a market. She was almost selling it."
"Wow!" Folake sighed. "Maybe she needed money."
"She has a job. She should have been contented or find a better one." I said and observed Damba smiling proudly. Something is up with him.
We ate our food and talked about other things, most especially our camp memories. I found out that, like us, Folake and Tayo met during their camping days.

Abisola had a FaceTime with myself and Damba when we got back to our room. She asked me to show her around the room and I did. Like always, she teased me and told me how I was enjoying. She thought we were at Damba's house so she complimented him for it.
"Take good care of my sister."
"Yes, I will." Damba chuckled.
"And remember, no sex before marriage." Abisola warned.
Myself and Damba exchanged glances and smiled. "Yes."
"What's with the look? You've had sex already?"
"Us? No oh." I shook my head.
"Good."
"Stop behaving like my elder sister." I hissed. "How is school?"
"Fine jare." She paused. "I returned yesterday."
"I can see that."
"How many years do you have left?" Damba asked.
"One and a half."
"Well-done! Don't forget to invite us for convocation." Damba grinned.
"You will be the first I'd invite. Don't worry." Abisola smiled.
"Okay. Enough of the chitchat now. Hope all is going well with you?" I asked.
"Yes, when are you returning?"
"I don't know yet. But soon."
We spoke a little while longer before we hung up. And like we've been doing a lot recently, Damba and I kissed. We had enough of eachother and most importantly, we knew how much we loved eachother.
