We arrived at the home of the Bakares. My mouth was agape as I was astonished by their home. It was quite big and which made me wonder why they would go all the way to live in a house like ours.

"Are you done? Can we go in?" Bimbo asked.

"Yes, yes." We've been standing at the door because I was blocking the way whilst admiring the house.

Mrs. Bakare was holding my box while Bimbo held the one that belonged to Damba. They both dragged it in after I stepped aside for them to walk in. I clutched unto my handbag, trailing behind them as they led me into my assigned room.

I walked into the room and I was surprised as to where I'd be sleeping. It was way bigger and wider than mine and Abisola's room back at home and definitely bigger than the guest room in Tayo and Vanessa's house. No doubt that it was a sumptuous place compared to the austere residence I had to live in.

"Is this where I'd be sleeping?" I asked.

"Nope." Bimbo shook her head. "You'll be eating here."

"Ehn?"

"Of course you'd be sleeping here now. Why do we have your boxes here?" Mrs. Bakare laughed.

"It's beautiful. Thank you so much!" I exclaimed.

Bimbo held my shoulders. "What are friends for?"

I smiled at her.

"Tell me. Where have you been and what have you been up to all this while?" Mrs. Bakare asked.

"I..."

"Mummy! She's definitely tired. Why don't we do this tomorrow?"

"Yes! Yes. That's true." Mrs. Bakare passed me a look. "I was just hoping you'd have called earlier."

"I'm sorry ma. I...I just forgot."

"Okay. Freshen up. Then come out for lunch, okay?" Mrs. Bakare said.

"Yes ma." I nodded then she smiled and left.

"Adeooola!" Bimbo elongated my name. "Even if you were shy to call my mother, should you be shy around me?"

"I don't get you."

"Why didn't you call to tell me about your plight?" She sat down on the bed.

"I was sc-ared." I clasped my hands together underneath my belly. "This is illegitimate so..."

"Don't call it that. Because you conceived outside marriage doesn't give you the right to call your unborn child names."

"Yes. It's just that..."

Bimbo got up and patted my shoulder. "It's not your fault. Get ready on time so you'd have lunch. Have you even had anything to eat today?"

I shook my head.

"Ahh! Don't do this now. If not about yourself, think of the baby. You shouldn't be..."

"It's just this one time. I've been eating well." I smiled.

"Okay. I believe you." She opened the door. "Sha be fast and come out for lunch."

I nodded and with that she left.

As soon as I had a shower, I slept off. I was too tired to get out of the room and to even put anything in my mouth. I got out during dinner and by that time Mr. Bakare was already back from work.

"Good evening sir. Good evening ma."

"Ahh! Adeola. I've been waiting to see you." Mr. Bakare said.
