Damba didn't show up the next morning and I didn't panic since I was already told in my dream. But I wanted to wait once more. What if Damba actually returned when I leave? I didn't want to make any hasty decisions even when I was sure Damba used me. Folake and Tayo have been around me, supporting, encouraging and giving me enough comfort.
I waited till afternoon, He didn't show up. Evening, no sign of him. I gave him a call at night, it said his number was busy. The next morning, I called again before I made my decision.
"Maybe he really ditched you after all." Tayo said. I already knew that much. He spelling it out for me made things worse. I became scared.
"What would you do now?" Folake asked.
"I'd head back to Lagos."
"When?" Tayo asked.
"This afternoon."
"Have you booked your flight?" Folake asked.
I shook my head.
"I know an agent, I'll get through to him so it'd be easier for you to get back to Lagos." Tayo said, taking out his phone.
"Thank you."
"Have you packed your stuffs?"
I nodded.
"And his?" Tayo asked.
I was confused. "Why should I? He ditched me."
"No, no, no. You'd take it along with you. I'm sure you'd find some money there too. Take everything. You just might need it." Folake said.
"I..."
"Ma bere pelu devoted Christian to ma n so." Don't start with the devoted Christian you're always talking about. Tayo hissed.
"Okay, I'll take it." I sighed. "But all his important files and documents..."
"Leave them with the hotel personnel, he'll surely come back for those." Folake said.

Tayo and Folake helped me to get all necessary stuffs that belonged to Damba. I found 70,000 naira in his bag and I took it too without stopping to think about why he got so much money.. I decided to leave a letter for him in case he returns for his files.
Damba,
I would have started with Dear Damba but you're not dear to me after what you've done. I didn't want to trust you to start with and you made me fall for you and you had my virginity effortlessly. I've taken all the money in your bag, shebi you think I'm cheap? Well, that's what cheap people do. I'm so angry right now for trusting you instead of my mother. I do hope you have a bad and ugly life and may you rot in hell!
Signed:
Angry Adeola!
A drop of tear fell on it as I folded it and kept it along with his important files.
"You sure are angry but don't be sad. He's not worth your tears." Folake patted me.
"You even tried in that letter sef." Tayo chuckled. "Some girls would have cursed his family and generation and..."
I wanted to add that so I reached for the paper.
"No, no, no. You've written enough." Folake turned to him. "Tayo, what's this now?"
"Sorry, sorry. I was just saying she's better than..."
"Let's go." I dragged two boxes behind me as my satchel hung over my neck while Damba's important files were clutched under my arm.
"Let's help with those." Tayo collected one box and Folake took the file under my arm.

We met with the hotel manager and told him half of our plight. We lied to him that Damba traveled and that when he returns, they should give him those files. The manager nodded and locked away the file in a locker.
I checked out of the hotel as Folake and Tayo escorted me to the airport in a cab. Tayo paid for my flight and I was grateful to them.

Welcome to Qatar airways, please fasten your seatbelts and...
I looked out of the window. I didn't know what would become of me as my heart started pounding hard against my chest. My family trusted me a lot and I threw their trust in the dust and embraced Damba, now he has done the same to me. I wish I didn't fall in love with him. He just had things to easy.
Preparing for take-off, Preparing for...
Then, I remembered my first flight, Damba had held my hands tight and now, I could only hold on to the chair. I actually missed having him around. He had impacted a lot in me and he just left like that without saying goodbye. He left a big hole and a very large, empty space. I wasn't going to forgive him and if I see him, hopefully not, I'm going to murder him.

Preparing for landing, Preparing for landing. Dear passengers, fasten your seatbelts and...
I remembered when I slept off on Damba's chest and waking up to this sound. I know I shouldn't but I actually do miss him. Be missing him, you hear? He ruined your life and you're still missing him. Wow! Adeola, Wow! You even proved to be cheaper than you were.
Soon after, I started crying. Damba has affected me greatly and there's nothing I could do about it.
"Hello. Are you okay?" A passenger next to me, asked.
"Y-Yes, thank you." I buried my face in my hands as I tried to hide my tears.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, thank you."
"Alright. You could use my help if you need..."
"I am fine oh!"
"I'm Seyi by the way and..."
"Adeola!"
"Wow! Nice name. My..."
The plane already landed and most passengers deplaned. I quickly reached for my satchel and got out of the plane.
Surprisingly, he chased me which reminded me of Damba.
"So Adeola..."
"Please! I'm not in the best of conditions right now and I would appreciate it if...!" I yelled.
He walked away immediately. Normally, I'd have followed him and apologized for yelling but I had a lot on my mind and do not want to justify myself to a complete stranger.
