Panacea opened her eyes. Where was she? What was going on? She didn't really remember what happened, she was a bit confused. But she felt.. calm. She looked around, trying to figure out what was going on. She seemed to be in a large white space. Two blue butterflies fluttered by, their wings flowing beautifully through the wind. Her eyes followed them, wondering where exactly they were flying too. There in the distance sat a tree like cottage. She recognized it right away, it was her home. Her parents stood outside waving at her. She waved back, happy to see them.
She then took notice of her paws- she looked down amazed to see the size of herself, she was so tiny! She hadn't been this small since she was a kid. How strange. Before she could blink, she was suddenly transported to the market place at the center of town. How did she get here so quickly? She looked around, nervous by all the ponies around her. She began walking, noticing the ponies around were staring at her, whispering to each other, giving disgusted looks. Her walking quickly picked up speed as she tried to get away, trying to ignore the loud whispers around her. No matter how fast she ran, it didn't seem like she was actually going anywhere. As she ran, she tripped and fell down into a mud puddle right in front of everyone.
She sat up, this time every pony was standing around her. Glaring down at her intensively, they were like giants towering over her giving her no escape.
"Ew look at her." One pony said. "Have you ever seen anything so hideous?"
"Mommy look at the funny girl!" Another pony said. "Why does she look like that?"
"I don't know sweetie but you stay away from her." Someone else said. "I don't want you to catch whatever freak disease she has."
"What even is she? Some kind of messed up hybrid?"
"She must have been a mistake, just look at her! What even is she?"
"She's a freak that's what she is!"
"An abomination!"
"What an ugly little freak."
"Ha, ha what a freak!"
"Freak!"
And the insults just kept on rolling in. It felt like the world was spinning around her, the ponies around her getting blurry as they spun around and around blurring their faces, the laughter getting louder and louder filling her ears. Panacea fell on her knees covering her head crying begging for them to stop, but with no success. Suddenly she heard a voice.
"Panny."
It was a bit hard to hear, like an echo nearly reaching the surface for just a moment. Then she heard it again. Louder this time.
"PANNY."
"PANNY!"
Her eyes opened with a start. She was no longer small or surrounded by ponies, instead swirling winds of color wisped by in flashes, like a wild storm circling around her as she floated mid-air. She looked down at her paws, they glowed brightly like balls of light in her hand. She had never felt so powerful.
"Panny!" The voice called out again. It sounded closer this time. She turned around to see Luster standing firmly on the ground, trying her best not to get swept away by the wind.
"Why are you here!?" Panacea exclaimed. "What do you want?"
"I want you to stop!" Luster exclaimed. "This has gone on long enough!"
"Why should I?" Panny asked. "Those ponies will only make fun of me again."
"That may be so but you can't do this!" Luster said. "Creatures are getting hurt because of you."
