Luster walked down the halls to the library. Ever since the 'incident' from this morning, the students had been allowed to take the rest of the day off, they could use it. There was still debris everywhere, and the lights were still out, but lanterns had been lit in every hallway and most of the remains of the disaster had been cleaned up already, these people were good.
It was almost like an out of control creature didn't cause havoc and destruction all over the place, though the broken windows and ripped up curtains were a subtle reminder of it. Luster herself was on her way to the library to get some extra studying out of the way, she didn't have anything else to do.
As she walked, she could hear shushed voices around her. Creatures whispering to themselves as they passed by, taking every step with caution as if another flower could come out at any moment, anxious looks on their faces. Yeesh, these kids really were traumatized. Luster couldn't help but over hear some of their conversations.
"Can you believe all those vines sprouting everywhere?" One pony said. "I swear I almost DIED."
"I know right?" A hippogriff replied. "Honestly I was more shocked by the raining spaghetti, since when does it rain spaghetti in Equestria? Or anywhere for that matter."
"It was that new girl." A griffin said. "The tall shy girl, she caused all the plants to go lo-co. I've never seen magic like that before."
"Me nether." The pony said. "I'm telling you, magic like that isn't natural."
"I heard she's Discord's daughter." The hippogriff whispered.
"Ha! Well that explains it," The pony replied. "I knew there was something weird about her, besides the fact she looks like an experiment gone wrong."
"And who knows what she'll do next." The griffin said. "The school's already taken a lot of damage, next time the whole building might collapse!"
"She's a disaster waiting to happen, calling it now." The pony laughed as she passed by. Luster glared at her with a cold stare. She didn't appreciate them talking about her friend like that. The three of them quickly stopped and dashed away in a hurry. Luster sighed, she knew this would happen, Panacea was now what everyone was talking about. At least she wasn't here to see it.
At last, she had made it. The library! This was by far her favorite place in school. Here she could read all about History of the dragonlands, or Hippogriff & Seapony culture, or Antient monsters and manifestations. And those were only off the top of her head! She had even more books back in her library at home. She used to spend hours in her library reading everything she could about history and magic.
She even feel asleep once completely surrounded by books after studying all night for a test she had for the next day. Her mom used to joke how she seemed more like Twilights daughter, although Luster didn't find it funny. It would be amazing to be the daughter of a princess, especially Twilight.
As she walked in, she sighed as she smelled the air. Still had that good book smell. She walked to a table to put down her saddle bag. She didn't want to be constantly carrying it around since it was quite heavy, after all she had work to do. She went into the history section and picked the book she was looking for, then another, and another. Suddenly, her ear perked up. She could hear the sound of a book being placed back on it's shelf.
Judging by the sound, it was heavy, maybe paperback cover. It was coming from the magic section. Like lighting, she zipped by and grabed the book before anyone could even lay eyes on it. Luster wasn't exactly a fast runner, but when it came too books, she was faster than a speeding pegasus. She continued zipping from place to place, faster then the speed of light, the books piling up. She was unstoppable!
