Mew looked down at the sleeping figure within his hold. Carefully, he took his arm away and got up to grab his phone. He smiled at the picture of him and Gulf displayed as the background. Unable to take it, he slid down to the floor, and went to his Line to make a call. He knew very well he shouldn't mess up Gulf's sleep schedule.
The younger one already had a very terrible sleep schedule and was most likely still up. But he missed him. Despite being back to being closely attached to each other, and even more loving (at least he thinks so), he still found it hard to not miss him.
"Mew?" Gulf answered, grinning ear to ear at the video call connected and he saw a full view of Mew's face. "You're not sleeping yet?"
"I couldn't sleep. Missed you too much," he teased, loving the way the other boy seemed to still get shy no matter how often he flirts with him.
"Really? But I see a figure looking rather comfortable on your bed and waiting for you to return..." Gulf peered behind him and at his bed. Mew chuckled, turning the camera around, and onto the sleeping form of Chopper. "But he's not you."
Gulf laughed his usual breathy laughter, taking a screenshot of the sleeping form of his boyfriend's beloved dog. "Hmm. I miss you, too. I have to go back to my hometown. I think my family are planning to stay for some extra days now so I won't be back until Tuesday. So let's go on a date then."
"Can't wait, tue-eng. I-"
A loud slam alarmed both Gulf and Mew.
"Love!" Gulf shouted, "What in the world-"
The said girl tackled him after closing the door, taking his phone and looking closely into the camera. "P'Mew! Flirting late at night, huh?"
Mew chuckled at the sight of Gulf's hand reaching forward to push Love away and retrieving his phone. "Are you not afraid of waking up my family?"
"Ow, they left for a late night snack just now."
"Huh? Without me?"
"You were too busy talking to your precious Khun Phi so they left without saying anything. Your family is strange as ever for going out so late just to get snacks."
"Says the one that came over at this time," Gulf pushed her face away when she tried to once again push herself into the frame of the video call. She grumbled, moving over and nestling into her cousin's bed as though it was the most natural thing. Mew found himself amused at how Gulf's face morphed into confusion while he looked down at the girl.
"She fell asleep," Gulf sighed, providing a clear view of Love who was now snoring away. Mew laughed in disbelief, "Already? That's some magic right there."
Gulf shook his head yet the fondness he held for the younger girl could not be hidden. "Well, it's late. I'll talk to you later. Goodnight."
"Night."
Waving to his boyfriend, Gulf call ended. His actions made Mew internally fanboy at how adorable his gesture was. He sighed lovingly and with content, already excited for their time together once Gulf returned.
Gulf gripped onto the glass ice cold water, tapping his feet impatiently. He looked down at his watch once more, furrowing his brows at the time. He pulled out his phone, making sure he had gotten the time correct. Sure enough, May, who he was expecting to meet, was running twenty minutes late.
"Gulf," a voice panted behind him. He turned around, finding himself face to face with May who gave him an apologetic look, her hair disheveled and her forehead gleaming with sweat - most likely due to rushing over. "I'm sorry for being late."
