Chapter 7

Charlotte wasn't happy with the news at all.

What if this time, Lottie got into another accident and didn't make it?.

Charlotte was lost in thoughts thinking of all that could happen in those few days of the trip.

Rufus realised she seemed to be lost in thought and he went closer to her and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"hey, you okay? "

"Ohh hi, yeah Uhm, yeah, I'm good, I'm just so happy " Charlotte replied with a fake smile on her face.

"you sure?, if something is bothering you, you can tell me yunno, I might be able to help " Rufus said this time placing both hands on her shoulders.

This was another chance for her to finally let it all out, maybe someone could help her, maybe Rufus had the answer.

She stood there staring into his deep blue eyes.

A faint smile appeared on her face as she moved closer to squeeze her boyfriend tight.

"I'm awesome, I mean, Lottie is awake, your here, everything is perfect ". She said smiling like an adorable puppy.

Rufus was happy to hear that.

He pulled her in even closer and laid a kiss on her forehead.

She rested her head on his chest and he cuddled her tight.

"Awwn so adorable "

Myrtle interrupted. They looked back at her and smiled.

"So char, where should we go for the trip?".

Myrtle asked as she went to sit on the bed and was typing on her phone.

"Uhm, I'll let you know, and besides we can't decide without Lottie " Charlotte said without looking at Myrtle.

Myrtle nodded in support still glued to the screen of her phone.

"And besides, we should forget about the trip and talk about Lottie, we need to throw her a welcome back party" Charlotte continued with a bright smile on her face.

"What do you guys think?" she asked and almost instantly, Rufus answered her.

"Well it's not a bad idea and could invite Kai and a few friends over "

Charlotte was pleased with his suggestion and she turned to look at Myrtle who didn't utter a word .

"Myrtle!!! " Charlotte yelled. "Are you even paying attention to us?" she asked.

"Huh, yeah I am, whatever you say goes " Myrtle said as she looks back at her screen and texted vigorously.

Rufus and Charlotte exchanged glances and and just laughed to Myrtle's ignorance to what was happening around her.

It was eleven thirty six pm and Lottie still awake, sat on her hospital bed, watching a movie on her laptop and slowing sipping a cup of coffee.

She was all alone, curtains down and the doors locked.

She stared into the screen of the laptop, she seemed to be watching a horror movie.

Suddenly, she paused the movie and decided to stroll down to the rest room to ease herself.

The hall was empty, no one in sight, silent and creepy.

It was a lonely and creepy walk down the hall but she finally arrived at the rest room .

When she walked into the rest room , it was... empty and oddly silent.
