That devil, it never left her side, it was monitoring her every move, and was waiting patiently for his time to take over everything (the trip) and sadly it was the day after tomorrow.

She ignored the figure and just went to hug her best friend.

She missed Lottie so much, she jumped into Lottie's wide opened arms and squeezed her friend tight.

The figure vanished slowly into thin air and Charlotte watched it happen.

Both girls seemed to be crying emotionally, they had missed each other so dearly.

"Am so glad you're okay, I thought I'd never see you again " Charlotte said as tears filled her freckled face.

"Me too, I told myself I couldn't leave you, I won't, I can't live without you " Lottie said as she squeezed her best friend's hands tight.

The nurses in the room gave them some privacy.

They stared at each other with their eyes filled with tears.

Lottie broke the silence by saying "your hair is a mess and you look terrible when you cry ".

Charlotte couldn't help but to laugh as she wiped the tears from her face .

Lottie joined her in laughing and both girls laughed at each other.

They sat on the bed still holding each others hands.

Lottie pulled her in for another hug and Charlotte felt like she should never let go.

She was so happy. That moment, she forgot everything, the demon, the trip, the fact that they might all die.

That moment, playing the devil's game wasn't as scary as loosing her best friend.

They hugged for over five minutes and still didn't want to let go of each other when suddenly they heard someone clear his throat.

They both turned towards the door and to their surprise it was Rufus.

" Am I interrupting anything important? ".

"Rufus!!! " Charlotte said as she jumped up from the bed and ran towards her boyfriend.

She jumped into his wide opened arms and he hugged her so tight.

Rufus was another person Charlotte missed so dearly.

"I missed you so much " she uttered quietly as Rufus wrapped his arms around her like she was a little child.

Rufus always treated Charlotte like she was a little girl since he was older.

Rufus was twenty seven and little Charlotte was only nineteen.

Charlotte met Rufus through Kai, Kai and Rufus were friends, they attended the same school together and they were still friends till date.

Charlotte was one of those lucky girls who got admitted early.

Rufus came with flowers and presented them to Lottie.

"Awwn thank you, I wish I had a boyfriend like you" Lottie said as she stretched out her hands to receive the flowers with a bright smile on her face.

"Sadly you can't cause Rufus here is one of a kind " Charlotte said with an evil smile on her face as she holds his hands tight and rested her head on his shoulder.

"Awwn thanks babe " Rufus said with a shy smile on his face.

He wrapped his arm around her waist and gave her a soft kiss on her lips.

She wrapped her hands around his neck and kissed him back.

They kissed each other affectionately. They missed each other so dearly and he wanted to give her all the kisses he wasn't able to give her while she was away.

They had forgotten the main reason they were in that hospital room and they just wanted to spend time with each other.

Lottie cleared her throat and said "Uhm hello, I believe I'm the one you guys should be spending time with, I'm the one you missed right? ".

They both stared at Lottie and then each other then back at Lottie again "right, so sorry Lottie, I kinda got carried away, it's just that I missed her so much and I....".

Rufus explanation was cut short when Lottie interrupted him "it's fine, I understand, u guys go have fun. You have a lot of catching up to do".

"Are you sure, I mean I can see him some other time I just.... "

"it's fine, I'm good " Lottie said interrupting Charlotte's explanation as well.

"you're a great friend " Charlotte said with a bright happy smile on her face.

She gave Lottie a big hug rubbing Lottie's back slowly.

Lottie broke free of Charlotte's  hold and said "get outta here before I change my mind " with a smile on her face.

Charlotte nodded and Rufus held her hand leading her out of the room.

Before leaving, Rufus gave Lottie a kiss on her forehead and touched her cheeks gently "you be good okay? ", Lottie nodded with a smile on her face and the couple exited the room.

They soon arrived at the dorm and standing in front of the door was Kai.

"ughhhh, what do you want? " Charlotte said in a disgusted manner.

"I took a day off from work just to see you and this is the welcome I get" Kai said with the raise of an eye brow and his arms stretched out.

Charlotte grinned and said "I never thought I'd be happy to see you ".

"That's more like it " Kai said as he moved a step forward to catch his sister who was already running towards him.

She jumped into his arms and he held her tight as he twirled around in joy.

Charlotte never knew that in her entire life she would be filled with joy and happiness at the sight of her brother.

They all adjourned to the cafe near by for a little coffee before her brother returned home.

Rufus wasn't ready to leave her side just yet, he decided to sleep over.

They returned to the dorm and Myrtle was already home.

"Rufus, I can't believe my eyes, you are really here" surprised Myrtle exclaimed.

Rufus smiled and said "it's nice to see you too ".

Myrtle was so happy that Lottie was awake, she paid her a visit on her way home.

"hey do you know she's getting discharged tomorrow? " Myrtle said.

"What?, which means..... " Charlotte said with a surprised expression on her face.

"which means, she will be around and we can all hang together, you know I was thinking maybe we could all go on a little trip u know maybe China or Spain or.... " Myrtle kept on chattering without noticing the change of expression on Charlotte's face.

Charlotte wasn't happy anymore, it was all falling into place, the demon plan, everything was happening too fast.

All Myrtle was saying was just entering the left ear and out of the right.

Charlotte looked into the dressing mirror opposite her bed and instead of her reflection, it was the demonic figure smiling at her.

A voice echoed into her ear "we are one from now on " and the smile of the demon widened.

"Oh no.......

Woah, that was creepy
