Chapter 17

she stared at the picture one more time just to make sure she wasn't making a mistake and sadly she wasn't.

She suddenly felt weak from inside and her feet had suddenly become too reluctant to carry her. The whole world became very silent and all she could hear was the sound of her heart beating like it was about to explode.

Esmay aggressively collected her phone from Charlotte

"Do you now know why this involves you?"

"how... I..."

"I will make sure suffer for what you did to me!! " she yelled

"wait!, how is that my fault, I didn't kill him" Charlotte instantly spat out

"really?...  Fine I'll tell you then or instead, I'll show you " Esmay said with a wicked grin

"what —"

Before she could finish her statement, Esmay grabbed her by the hair pulling her closer to her face, Esmay's eyes became as red as blood and she stared directly into Charlotte's eyes.

Charlotte began to cry in pain as she felt as if every drop of blood in her body system were tiny scorpions stinging her trying to escape from her body, she cried even louder as the pain multiplied by a million.

Blood started to flow through her nose, eyes and ears, she felt as if she was dying and she could no longer cry nor express the pain she was going through.

Suddenly, she met herself in her high school and the only people visible there were herself in high school, Damian and the football team, cheerleaders, coach and you guessed it, Esmay.

Charlotte was a very popular girl, apart from the fact that she was the head of the cheerleaders and the smartest student in her class, she was also popular for her looks and her online dancing videos.

Damian and the football team had once again brought home the trophy and made Campbell high proud, no matter the game, no matter how tough the opponent was, they had always won.

The team and the cheerleaders had gathered to celebrate their straight wins, Damian being the leader of the football team had decided they partied at his place since his parents were never around.

"All right everyone, let's drink our hearts out!! " Damian commanded

"yeah!!! " they replied

"To me being awesome —" they all laughed and Damian continued "—to our great football team—" some of the guys yelled out 'yeah!!' in reply "—to our beautiful cheerleaders and, to the most beautiful thing I have ever set my eyes on, the girl that drives me crazy, the only girl I will ever want to have in my life...
To Charlotte " he said with his right hand stretched out waiting for hers

"ooohhhh!!" a bunch of guys echoed from the crowd

"take his hand, come on don't be shy " they had encouraged her

She took his hand and he pulled her in and kissed her

"I now pronounce you husband and wife " one of Damian's friend (Chuck) had said and they all laughed

"Cheers!!! "

The clashing of glasses had echoed through the room as they all cheered to victory.

That very day, all but one was happy, that one was Esmay, she had crushed on Damian since middle school but Damian had eye for only one person, Charlotte.

Esmay wasn't a cheerleader but a mascot for the team and pretty much a nobody, she had braces and most people referred to her as a dork and avoided her and so did Damian.

Esmay rushed out of the room with weary eyes filled with tears, she just couldn't stand the sight of those two together.

She wasn't planning on giving up the love of her life just yet, she did everything she could to get noticed by Damian but ended up getting insulted

"What do you want from me?, why do you keep following me? " Damian yelled out in the hallway

"no I just—"

"just what, listen bitch it's fucking creepy, you creep me out okay"

"babe what's happening" Charlotte said as she moved closer to her boyfriend sharing a glance with Esmay then back at her boyfriend

Damian kissed her in front of Esmay then said "it's nothing, let's leave or we might miss our flight " he replied pulling her by the hand away from the scene

"hmm okay " she replied staring at Esmay who was filled with rage but broken as well

"Bye Esmay!!!" she yelled out waving Esmay goodbye then cuddles Damian more which rewarded her with a kiss on the head from Damian

"May are you okay?" a feminine voice called out to Esmay and grabbed her by the hand

Esmay jacked away from her grip and stomped out of the hall way

Charlotte was back to the present but she was very weak because she had lost so much blood

"Do you remember now, you stole my boyfriend you bastard " she yelled out

"he was never yours to begin with, he fell in love with me and not you... How—"

"silence!!!" she yelled kicking Charlotte in the gut

"Arghh! " she cried out in pain

"he was meant to be mine but you took him"

She knelt down in front of Charlotte and pulled her by the hair to raise her head to her face

"and as if that wasn't enough, you brought him here! And killed him!! You killed him you bitch!!!" she cried out then hit Charlotte's head on the ground

"Ahhhh! "

This time, Charlotte was already crying and she was too weak to run away

"you know I didn't kill him, you know it was this demon and he's going to kill all of us if we don't end it now!! "

"hmm, I could do that, orrrr I could just not listen to you and do things my way " she said with a wicked grin

"I summoned him to help me get back at you for what you did, look how beautiful he made me, I'm even more prettier than you "
She laughed and then turned her back against Charlotte then yelled out "let the game... Begin!!!! " with her arms stretched out into the air.

Finally Kai had noticed his sister and went to help her, he led her towards the door trying to get her to a hospital but the door wouldn't budge

"we're trapped in " Kai said

"shit!, what are we gonna do, you need medical attention "

"I'll be fine, let's focus on what's more important here, saving those people and our friends " Charlotte replied

She had made up her mind that whatever would happen to her would still happen no matter what, she just had to save everyone even if it meant sacrificing herself
